Thac Ba lake is one of the largest lakes in the northern part of Vietnam, which is referred to as “Ha Long on the mountain", the lake has formed when the Thac Ba hydroelectric plant was built. The lake is located in the Luc Yen districts, Yen Bai province. The lake is nearly 20 thousand hectares of water surface, including more than 1,300 large and small green islands, along with a beautiful cave system hidden deep in the heart of limestone mountains.
