Herein are some basic and vital tips that would enable you to make your trip smooth, cool, and responsible, while embracing the natural beauty and rich cultures of Pu Luong Tours.

Best Time to Visit Ban Leo Rice Fields

Choosing the right time of visit will make all the difference to experience the beauty of Ban Leo Rice Field on a Pu Luong Tour. There are two advisable seasons to visit this place: planting and harvest time. The planting season is from May to June when the rice terraces are lush, full of life, and wear a fresh green color. The rice shoots fill the terraces, turning them into a spectacular landscape highlighting the life and zest of this agricultural phenomenon. On the contrary, in September or October, it is harvest time, and the golden change can be observed on the rice terraces. Rice fields in their golden tone getting ready for harvest create a perfect setting for amazing photography. The seasons all have their charm, and accordingly as one prefers green vitality to gold charm or vice versa, one should plan the visit.

Packing and Preparation

Preparation makes the whole difference on your Ban Leo Rice Field on a Pu Luong Tour. You would be very comfortable in lightweight, breathable, and quick-drying clothes for trekking. Use long-sleeved shirts and trousers to ensure your skin is adequately guarded against sunlight and some biting insects that you will also be encountering on your way. The mountainous land is quite unpredictable and hence it would be prudent to carry a light rain jacket with you. For footwear, the best is said to be strong hiking shoes with good ankle hold to avoid slipping on each sometimes slippery and uneven path. Bring the essentials like sunscreen, insect repellent, hat, and of course, the camera for those breathtaking views. A refillable water bottle is important to make sure that you keep hydrated during your adventure. Whichever you do, if you have the proper equipment, you will be spending less time thinking about discomfort and more time taking in the breathtaking views.

Cultural Etiquette and Responsible Tourism

During a visit to Ban Leo, one is taken into close contact with the local Thai community. Carefulness must be thoroughly paid to the locals’ norms and traditions on this Ban Leo Rice Field on a Pu Luong Tour. A warm smile and respect will go a long way to greet “Xin chào"-the local. When invited into any home, remember that it is customary to take your shoes off at the door. When meals are shared, be sure to wait for an invitation from the host to eat, and avoid criticism as an appreciation for what is being served is always appreciated.

Above all, dress modestly, especially when you are going to villages for a visit or to join some activities of cultural exchange. You can wear anything that makes you comfortable during your trekking adventures. However, during the time of participation in the local activities or those activities involving home visits, you need to be more conservative in dressing. Lastly, one of the core principles of Pu Luong Tours is promoting eco-tourism. Supporting local homestays, guides, and artisans helps keep money in the local economy for the preservation of their unique way of life. First of all, don’t forget to minimize your footprint on the environment by following the marked paths of not littering and saving water. If following these simple principles of responsible tourism, one will undoubtedly provide a positive impact on a community and the environment.
