Nam Kim is the name of the longest and largest stream in Mu Cang Chai district, originating from the top of Khau Pha pass. Nam Kim divides Mu Cang Chai district town into left bank and right bank, creating an attractive beauty amidst a natural area hidden on the western side of the majestic charming Hoang Lien Son mountain range.
Those who have been to Mu Cang Chai (Yen Bai) also have their own feelings about the land and people here. For me, one of the deep impressions of the Nam Kim river is the story of learning letters of H’mong children.
The lyrical, cool, sweet, and romantic Nam Kim stream is still absorbed in the Nam Mu stream – the river flows upstream to the Da River and empties into the ocean, just like the strong human personality of the Northwest people: Resilience, overcoming the seemingly impossible.
