2. History:

Cai Bau Pagoda in Quang Ninh was built on the foundation of Phuc Linh Tu. To worship the generals of the Tran Dynasty in the war against the Mongol invaders in the 13th century. Cai Bau Pagoda is also known as Truc Lam Giac Tam Zen Monastery. Located in Hamlet 1, Ha Long Commune, Van Don District, Quang Ninh Province. It is about 65 km from Ha Long city center. Although newly established in 2009, this is one of the Quang Ninh pagodas that attracts a lot of tourists from all over the country to visit and experience tourism here.

4. How to get there?

From Hanoi, you follow Highway 5 to Hai Duong city. To Nam Sach town, follow Highway 183 through Sao Do town, Dong Trieu, Uong Bi, Ha Long, Cam Pha, Cua Ong to Van Don (takes about 4 to 5 hours).

If you go by car, you can catch a bus at My Dinh wharf (tickets are about 100-120 VND/way), it takes about 3.5 hours – 4 hours. However, you should also call to reserve your seat in advance and check the departure time to avoid losing time or missing your flight.

After going to Van Don, you continue to take a taxi or motorbike taxi to get to Cai Bau Pagoda.

Hanoi – Halong Bay (L/D)

  • 8.00 – 8.30: Pick up & transfer to Halong Bay, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and located in the East North of Viet Nam. Nguyen Trai, an illustrious Vietnamese Confucian scholar, praised it " rock wonder in the sky" in his poet.
  • 11.30: Check-in at Paradise Lounge – Tuan Chau Island

  • 12:30: Embark on Paradise Sails

  • 14:30: Next, visit Tung Sau Pearl Farm or kayak*
    Your first excursion is a visit to Tung Sau Pearl Farm, an island in Halong Bay dedicated to growing pearls and practicing a handmade based on Vietnamese tradition. The area also an ideal destination for kayaking. If this excursion doesn’t take your fancy, stay on board and treat yourself to a stunning cocktail.
  • 16:00: Visit Ti Top Island
    This island itself is the name after Gherman Stepanovich Titov, who was a famous Russian cosmonaut. There is a statue dedicated to him on the island. The island was named Titop instead of Titov due to the translation to Vietnamese. Hike to the top of Ti Top Island for stunning panoramic views of the Bay. Day 02

Halong Discovery - Hanoi (B,L)

  • 06:30: Tai Chi on Sundeck
    Welcome your second day onboard Paradise Sails with a Tai Chi session on the sundeck as the sun rises. It is an internal Chinese martial art, its health benefits, and meditation.
  • 07:30: Visit Sung Sot Cave
    Your next stop is the magnificent Sung Sot Cave, where you will be surprised by the breathtaking panoramic view across the Bay once you exit the cave. This is the largest cave in Halong Bay, and the stalactites and stalagmites formed over millions of years have taken on fascinating shapes.
  • 08:30: Breakfast at the restaurant
    Back on board, you can opt for your breakfast to be served in the restaurant or your cabin. Paradise Sails will pass Thien Cung and Dau Go Caves and Fighting Cocks Islet before you settle your bill, check-out and return to Tuan Chau Island.
  • 10:30: Disembark at Tuan Chau Marina
    After disembarking from Paradise Sails, and for guests booked on the Paradise shuttle bus, you will be served a light lunch at Paradise Lounge before the drive back to Hanoi.
