Highlighting the Key Attractions: Black Virgin Mountain & Cu Chi Tunnels
Black Virgin Mountain (Núi Bà Đen)
Núi Bà Đen is where history, culture, and natural beauty strive in harmony. The Black Virgin Mountain has extremely historical significance, having been named after a legendary young maiden called Ba Den, who was a representation of strong faith and determination. It attracts pilgrims from across Vietnam and is a religious site reverence. As one climbs higher, either hiking or with the modern cable car, wide scenic views and the unique fauna and flora of the mountain await.
Sitting at the top of the Mountain is a 72-meter statue of the Buddha symbolizing peace and spirituality. Many, however, go in its guise for adventure, in adventurous forms like cable car rides across mountains and challenging hiking trails. Be it for spiritual musings or an adventure-filled escape amidst nature, the Black Virgin Mountain caters to visitors of all walks.
Cu Chi Tunnels
Cu Chi Tunnels
The Cu Chi tunnels are a part of the history of Vietnam and prove the strong resilience and resourcefulness of the people of Vietnam during the Vietnam War. These are living quarters, command centers, and strategic bases crucial to the Viet Cong guerrilla war against their enemies, hidden underneath the earth. It offers a great insight into the historical background of the war and the daily activities of fighters within it.
In this respect, journeying through the narrow passageways of the Cu Chi Tunnels introduces tourists to the unbelievable tactics and the many odds that went through the way of the Viet Cong. This includes actually tasting wartime foods such as boiled cassava to learn more about the endurance and resourcefulness of the soldiers who underwent these testy times.
Cao Dai Temple (Thánh địa Cao Đài)
Cao Dai Temple
Cao Dai Temple is a very poetic place where the spiritual richness and the beauty of the building go hand in hand. In fact, the very Cao Dai religion is a weird fusion of global peace-based Buddhism, Christianity, and Confucianism. The architectural uniqueness of the temple shows a style that amalgamates the creed with the bright colors and vibrant details.
Visitors can attend the Noon Prayer Ceremony and observe the devotion of Cao Dai followers, who are all dressed in colorful gowns. An experience that allows a glimpse into the spiritual life of this community, the Cao Dai Temple is an experience not to be missed on any cultural journey of Vietnam.

Day 02
HO CHI MINH CITY TOUR AND CU CHI TUNNELS
Your guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel. We will visit the following places of interest:
The Reunification Palace: Here on April 30th, 1975 the Vietnam War officially ended when tank number 843 of the North Vietnamese Army crashed through the gates of what was, at the time the residence of the President of the Republic of Vietnam.
War Remnants Museum: Formerly known as the Museum of American War Crimes, this is a poignant display of the futility of war. Some of the black and white photography in the ‘Requiem’ exhibit is particularly touching, dedicated to both foreign and Vietnamese journalists and photographers who perished during the conflict. The courtyard outside contains the spoils of war, namely rusting jets, tanks and cannons captured from the American military machine.
Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office: Built between 1877 and 1883 this is one of the best examples of classical French colonial architecture. Remarkably every stone used in its creation was shipped from France to Vietnam. Her two 40m towers, topped with iron spires dominate the city’s skyline. The Old Post Office is another example of French colonial architecture and is also the country’s largest post office.
Jade Emperor Pagoda: Building in 1909 in honor of the supreme Taoist god, this is one of the most spectacularly atmospheric temples in HCMC, stuffed with statues of phantasmal divinities and grotesque heroes. The pungent smoke of incense fills the air, obscuring the exquisite woodcarvings.
Cu Chi Tunnels: Watch a short introductory video showing how they were constructed, then spend the next hour exploring the maze of tunnels. Also, on display are various mantraps, the remains of an American tank and numerous bomb craters made by 500 pound bombs dropped by B52 bombers. For those interested there’s even the opportunity to fire off rounds from an AK47 or MK16 at the nearby rifle range
