Detailed Itinerary: Morning Walking Tour at Sala Park

7:00 AM – Meet Your Guide at Sala Park

Our Morning Walking Tour at Sala Park, right at the Hoang The Thien Road entrance. It is a great spot to begin our trip since we are literally surrounded by greenery and striking landscapes. After a short presentation from the guide and some great insights into the history of Sala Park, its purpose, and function in Ho Chi Minh City, the tour will get started.

7:15 AM – Visit the Iconic Sala Lotus and Gardens by the Bay

zThe Sala Lotus Flower sculpture is our first stop on the Morning Walking Tour at Sala Park: one of the most iconic features of the park. This imposing structure looks in a stately manner in the heart of the park and represents purity and growth, much like the flower itself. In addition, the latter holds deep cultural meaning here in Vietnam. We qualify it as an amazing work of art because the guide shall give an explanation of what this art characterizes and why it has come to be a favorite landmark.

Next, we are going for a walk further on to the area inspired by the famous Singapore Gardens by the Bay. You will see high trees made of artificial material and well-landscaped gardens, fully combining nature with fantastic design. This will be the most appropriate place for taking remarkable pictures, as the background is both soothing and impressive. Now Morning Walking Tour at Sala Park ensures that such photo opportunities are not missed, as our guide takes charge in pointing out the best angles and photo spots.

8:00 AM – Stroll Along the Artificial Lake

Later in the morning, we will take a leisurely walk around the artificial lake of the park. The pathway here is lined with leafy trees and flowers of different colors. This is just what one wants when taking a leisurely walk. The lake also reflects the greenery and urban skyline falling across it-a fine contrast between nature and city life.

During this part of the Morning Walking Tour at Sala Park, the guide will be giving interesting information about flora and fauna living inside the park: how this man-made ecosystem turned into a home for several birds, insects, and water plants. It’s your chance to be in close contact with nature-after all, not deep in one of the most modern Vietnamese cities. This walk is invigorating and meditative-just what you may need to get your day off on a positive note with water so tranquil and refreshing breeze.

8:30 AM – Morning Coffee Break at Sala Cafe

After an energetic walk, it would now be time for relaxation in Sala Cafe a small charming spot inside the park. We’ll take a well-deserved rest with some traditional Vietnamese coffee or herbal tea-whichever you prefer. This cozy cafe with beautiful views is just the right mix of nature and comfort.

You will nourish yourself over a cup of coffee or tea and discuss with the guide and other participants in the Morning Walking Tour at Sala Park. This place is also very good to exchange opinions so far, tips on traveling, or simply taking in the peacefulness of the environment. You will also be given a guide who can talk to you about Ho Chi Minh City tours and other attractions. It is also one of the relaxing moments in the tour as you rest for the next leg of our journey.

9:00 AM – Explore Thu Thiem Tunnel Park

When we have had our fill of coffee and conversation, we will cross the street to Thu Thiem Tunnel Park, situated nearby. This park affords wide views of the Daily Saidaigon River, its glittering city skyline across. The stop on this Morning Walking Tour at Sala Park offers you a comparison of Ho Chi Minh City bustling urban life against serene riverside beauty.

You can also participate in some relaxed activities, such as flying kites or light gymnastics, at open areas with a view of the river. Our guide will tell some interesting stories about Thu Thiem Tunnel, one of the most important infrastructure projects in this area to date and which has contributed so much to its development. A cross over the waters, and there is so much more to understand about the past, present, and future of the city.

10:00 AM – Optional Visit to Snow Town Saigon

We can extend the fun and enjoyment with an optional visit to Snow Town Saigon, just a few minutes from Sala Park. This indoor snow park is one-of-a-kind, bringing bits of winter magic into the tropical Ho Chi Minh City. Playful activities can be undertaken, like snowball fights or making snowmen, or enjoy the slightest ski pleasures. It is an excellent way to cool off while just having some light-hearted fun before the tour concludes.

The visit to Snow Town Saigon is an excellent addition that can be carried out by families, friends, and all those who want to experience a piece of winter in the heart of the city. Whether you are young or young at heart, this snowy adventure will see to it that memories remain in your heart.

11:30 AM – Conclusion of the Tour

The tour will end with a return to the Morning Walking Tour at Sala Park entrance for some final reflection and goodbyes. Recommendations on what to see next in Ho Chi Minh City will be provided by our guide for further Ho Chi Minh City tours or to continue independently with local hotspots.

  • War Remnants Museum: Formerly known as the Museum of American War Crimes, this is a poignant display of the futility of war. Some of the black and white photography in the ‘Requiem’ exhibit is particularly touching, dedicated to both foreign and Vietnamese journalists and photographers who perished during the conflict. The courtyard outside contains the spoils of war, namely rusting jets, tanks and cannons captured from the American military machine.
  • Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office: Built between 1877 and 1883 this is one of the best examples of classical French colonial architecture. Remarkably every stone used in its creation was shipped from France to Vietnam. Her two 40m towers, topped with iron spires dominate the city’s skyline. The Old Post Office is another example of French colonial architecture and is also the country’s largest post office.
  • Jade Emperor Pagoda: Building in 1909 in honor of the supreme Taoist god, this is one of the most spectacularly atmospheric temples in HCMC, stuffed with statues of phantasmal divinities and grotesque heroes. The pungent smoke of incense fills the air, obscuring the exquisite woodcarvings.
  • Cu Chi Tunnels: Watch a short introductory video showing how they were constructed, then spend the next hour exploring the maze of tunnels. Also, on display are various mantraps, the remains of an American tank and numerous bomb craters made by 500 pound bombs dropped by B52 bombers.
