Cultural Immersion

If there was something structurally profound learned during our “3 Days 2 Nights from Nghia Lo to Mu Cang Chai," it would have to be genuine cultural immersion. Picture sidestepping charming villages laid over something of a slow-motion filter, greeted by humbly smiling faces of the H’Mong and Thai ethnicities. These interactions are precious moments in life; they provide individuals with a novel knowledge of such interesting customs and life forms sacredly preserved over time.

Here you will get a chance to visit bustling local markets. The traditional taste automatically filters out, as on turning around, one is captivated by the bright colors of traditional handicrafts. By the side of each item, something is embroidered on the textile or an available handmade tool giving its tale a dekko to remember while at all the markets, much more than just shopping malls, representing the indigenous culture, getting behind the everyday living of Mu Cang Chai.

Stunning Natural Landscapes in 3 Days 2 Nights from Nghia Lo to Mu Cang Chai

Now get ready to get spellbound by the beauty in nature that you would witness on this journey! For sure, the terraced rice fields of Mu Cang Chai are really impressive. More, so at the time of harvesting, the way the hills present themselves it seems they are wrapped in a gold cloth. On our way to taste one of Vietnam’s famed “four great passes," the Khau Pha Pass, we venture through some of the country’s finest scenery. This is easily the longest and most difficult mountain pass in the Far East, but it is also second to none for its beautiful top view. The panoramic view from Khau Pha is every photographer’s dream!

The Lợn bản local pork dish is simply iconic for very tender and flavorful meat. Bred in its natural mountainous setting, it is used in most cases for grilling or stewing with aromatic herbs, which bring out authentic and delicious tastes.

Another highlight is Xôi ngũ sắc (five-colored sticky rice), which is such a brilliantly electric dish, and this color comes from the use of only plants’ natural dyes. Evoking a strong sentiment-based connection of each color with blessings, it is loved by one and all as an all-season festivity sweetheart brought out with indulgence.

Never pass on having Tu Le village’s green rice specialty, Cốm Tu Le. This young rice is baked and pressed until sweet and chewy, the best local snack or dessert.
