Overview:
Every year until the Tet holiday, Tuy Loan rice paper village is busy working at full capacity to produce the best batches of cakes. Rice paper and Quang noodles here are so popular that they are often “out of stock" and are considered one of the must-buy specialties in Da Nang.
Location:
About 15 km southwest of Da Nang city center, there is a traditional craft village with an age of more than 500 years, which is Tuy Loan rice paper village. It is the birthplace of a rustic delicacy, which always appears in daily meals and many Da Nang specialties.
History:
The unique name of the village comes from an old legend that tells of a large bird who drank alcohol and flew back to the village to find a place to live, so the village was named Tuy Loan.
Before 1975, this rice paper village was famous for two unique dishes: rice paper and Quang noodles. Up to now, the whole village still has 15 households keeping the tradition and making a living by making rice paper entirely by hand.

In Tuy Loan rice paper village, rice paper is not only a means of livelihood but also has a very special cultural significance. This is an indispensable dish on the occasion of anniversaries, worshiping ancestors, or Tet to the extent that it has become a traditional custom passed down from generation to generation.
The reason is that local people believe that the rice paper cake made from crispy rice flour is the quintessence distilled from heaven and earth, the typical identity of the village. Wherever the people of Tuy Loan village go, they proudly introduce their hometown rice paper to friends near and far, showing respect and cherishing the tradition.
