Detailed Itinerary for Tours to Visit Ham Rong Mountain in Sapa
Day 1: Lao Cai – Sapa – Cat Cat Village
Morning
05:30:You will arrive, early in the morning, at Lai Cai train station where you will be welcomed by our dedicated guide. Following a warm welcome, onboard our comfortable transfer to Sapa. Plying higher on curving roads, behold breathtaking views over the Hoang Lien Son mountain range with terraced rice fields, stretching out as far as the misty sky allows your eyes to see.
Arriving in Sapa, we’ll check in at the hotel first and have breakfast to experience the highland Sapa tours. Have a big breakfast before leaving for your exploratory day because the day is going to start with your guide introducing you to today’s plan at about 6:30
09:30: Our local guide comes to welcome guests; the first cultural exploration is a visit to Cat Cat Village: a beautiful H’Mong village on the foot of Sapa town. This nice village is to give visitors an overview of the traditional way of life and traditions of the Hmong people. Strolling along narrow paths lined with traditional wooden houses that belong typical style of the H’Mong, visitors will have a chance to see local artisans along the path gradually appearing with their skills of weaving, silver carving, and blacksmithing. Do not miss the great Cat Cat Waterfall, where the view and sound of water tumbling down are very apt for taking pictures. Our trained guide would pay a visit and share interesting facts regarding exceptions to the traditions of the H’Mong people: the most fascinating must be the “wife-pulling" tradition.
Cat Cat Waterfall
Afternoon
After the fulfilling morning, we return to the hotel for lunch and check-in. Beat back the heat and soon after, we set off to the adopted heart of Sapa Town
14:00: This is an exciting time to visit the lively Sapa Market in the afternoon. You will have so many products originating in this region plus items handmade. Have the taste of regions with delicacies like Thang Co, Meo cabbage, and five-color sticky rice. The market is the treasure-corner of unique items that fit as souvenirs or gifts for your loved ones at home.
We visit the Sapa Stone Church, famous for its importance to the town of Sapa alone; this was built by the French during the early years of the 20th century. Its architecture, so peculiar to it, portrays the visibly majestic atmosphere in fog, very tranquil and surreal: an opportunity perfect for self-collection and taking pictures.
Evening
19:00: After a full day of sightseeing, we will relax and have dinner at our hotel, where local cuisine awaits. Share stories with other tourists.
20:00:Free evening to discover Sapa’s nightlife. Walk around the streets, and if this is a Saturday, you must not miss the Red Dao people’s traditional Love Market if it takes place. Other activities such as the vivid atmosphere, traditional music, and join in the dance
