Production is located in the famous lacquer craft village of Tuong Binh Hiep – Binh Duong Province.
As a person born and raised in a traditional lacquer craft village, Mr. Vu Quang Tuyen, along with more than 100 artisans, has contributed to honoring the uniqueness of Vietnamese art. Ha Thai Bamboo Lacquer
Vietnam’s Ha Thai Lacquer Handicraft Village is well known for its superb lacquer artistry and is situated 20 kilometers from the city center. The renowned “Son son thep vang Cu Trang" artisan village is where the community’s rich history began in the 17th century. It was first praised for producing royal cutlery, but its outstanding craftsmanship led to the nickname “offering to the king."
Mostly on a black background, the lacquer paintings of Ha Thai village use traditional materials like lacquer resin, mother-of-pearl, and gold leaf. By using a distinctive method, lacquer polishing, producing a lasting impression and therefore establishing the hamlet as a well-known lacquer art destination.
For aristocratic households, the town first mostly manufactured beautiful panels and basic home goods such screens, trays, and plates. Traditional craft villages of Ha Thai lacquer lie the old highway 1A, near the Quan Ganh bridge, turn left on inter-communal Duyen Thai, pass viaduct then come to the village, not far from the center of Hanoi.
