Top Hot Springs in Tram Tau: Mu Cang Chai Tours & Activities

Hot springs in Tram Tau

Tram Tau is a remote upland district of Yen Bai. This place has 100% natural hot mineral springs from underground water that are abundant and good for health.

Tram Tau District: Tram Tau is a highland district located in the west of Yen Bai province, 114 km from the center of the province. Tram Tau is located in the tropical monsoon climate. The average altitude above sea level is about 800m. The highest peak is Ta Chi Nhu in Xa Ho commune, 2,979m above sea level, the sixth highest mountain in Vietnam, located in the Pu Luong massif in the Hoang Lien Son range. This mountain peak has many different names depending on each ethnic group, the Thai people call Ta Chi Nhu Phu Song Sung, and the Mong people call Chung Chua Nha. Next is the top of Ta Xua mountain, Ta Xua village, Ban Cong commune with the highest peak of 2,865m, ranked 10th among the highest mountains in Vietnam, where there is a “dinosaur spine", a challenging road. From the district center to Ta Xua village is a distance of about 7km, but to reach the highest peak, there is only a single dirt road with a very steep slope, which is a challenge that is not easy to overcome for anyone who wants to conquer. . Ta Xua mountain range rises up to create a natural boundary between Yen Bai and Son La, with three peaks forming an extremely majestic wonder. The highest peak is the place where the Vietnamese flagpole is erected at an altitude of 2,850m, at the second peak there are still vestiges of the old flagpole which was built during the French colonial period. The third peak is located in the middle, it resembles the line that forms the spine of a prehistoric dinosaur. Due to the high mountainous terrain, the temperature in summer is not high. Winter is cold, with winter temperatures down to 0 degrees celcius, snow covers the branches and high mountains.

The terrain gradually rises from east to west in a system of young mountains, sharp peaks, steep cliffs, steep slopes, high coefficient of erosion on strongly dissected terrain. The land area with a slope of over 250 accounts for 84.5% of the total natural area of the district, so Tram Tau district also faces many difficulties in the process of exploiting the territory.

Stream stream in Tram Tau has a fairly dense density, flowing with twists and turns, originating from many peaks in the region: Nam Tung stream consists of 2 branches. A branch originates from the Ta Xua mountain forest. A branch from Khao Chu. These two branches flow near the district capital, then merge into Nam Tung stream. Nam Hat stream also merges into two branches (one branch arises from Cang Chua Khua, one branch from San Cha) at Ban Hat. Nam Lieu stream originates from Cuu Song and joins with Nam Tung and Nam Hat. Nam Tang stream has 3 branches, which originate in Hang Chi Mua, Tang Ghenh, and Mu Nuoc, respectively, and then join together in Manh Tau called Nam Mu. When the current flows down Ngoi Thia, it is called Nam Tang. Nam Nhi stream originates from Go Lang Sang between the two communes of Ta Xi Lang and Lang Nhi. Nam Dong stream has 2 branches originating from Cao Pa Lau, Diem Cao flowing through Tuc Dan,… and many small streams with high slopes which are suitable for small and medium hydropower exploitation. The stream streams of the district all flow in the East-West direction, although they cause obstacles to traffic, they are a huge source of hydroelectric power. These streams also provide people with a rich amount of fish such as melons and turtles.

Eco-tourism, convalescence, culture: Tram Tau has great potential to develop eco-tourism, resort in the summer, take a hot mineral bath in the winter or enjoy and learn about unique cultures. of ethnic groups, such as  Gau Tao Festival, Hmong Khen Dance, La Khe, and Lip Khen of the Mong people; Naming ceremony, Xoe dance, dance by the stream of the Thai people; Tang Bu dance of the Kho Mu ethnic group; cuisine of Thai and Mong ethnic groups and products such as honey, taro, melon, bamboo shoots, plain rice, upland sticky rice…

Tram Tau Hot Springs: Tram Tau is a remote and remote district of Yen Bai province. This place not only has famous tourist spots such as Hang Te Cho – Second Village, Ban Mu, Ban Cu Vai… but also has a 100% natural mineral water spring that is extremely good for health. October is the golden time for you to visit Tram Tau Hot Spring. This is the time when the rice in the terraced fields is ripe and golden, suitable for you to just immerse yourself in the hot spring water while admiring the beautiful scenery of rice fields.

In October, Yen Bai weather is quite cool, it will be chilly at night. Therefore, Tram Tau Hot Spring is the ideal place for you to escape from the sun of Hanoi. Note that you should go at the beginning or middle of the month because the ripe rice will be harvested by the end of the month.

Rooms at Tram Tau Hot Springs: Tram Tau Hot Springs has a very beautiful system of rooms. The modern design includes a bungalow room, food court, and hot spring swimming pool area. The room is comfortably furnished, with a view overlooking the beautiful terraced fields. With prices from 400,000 VND – 700,000 VND depending on the type of room you choose, you can stay from 3 to 4 people. If you want to save money, you can stay in a dormitory on stilts for 200,000 VND/night.

What to eat at Tram Tau Hot Springs: Coming to Tram Tau Hot Spring, you will be prepared by the restaurant according to your needs. Special dishes, carefully cooked and beautifully decorated, promise to bring you many memorable culinary experiences.

Hai Cuong natural mineral spring

Hai Cuong natural mineral spring area is located right in the middle of terraced fields and is covered by mountains. In particular, the stream water here is so clear that you can see the entire layer of sparkling pebbles in the stream bed.

The best ideal time here is in the early morning; then the faint smoke rises from the water; Mixing with morning dew will make the scene as beautiful as a fairyland.

According to the locals, this hot spring has been around for a long time; completely naturally flowing from the ground. Previously, this area was only known by local people who still often came to take a bath. About a year ago, this place was renovated and built by a local as a resort; to attract tourists.

Coming to Tram Tau mineral spring, visitors can not only immerse themselves in warm water; with the majestic natural scenery but also experience the highland culture with simple stilt houses and ethnic dishes of indigenous people. Currently, in this area, there are also overnight resorts or you can choose to spend the night at people's houses here. Tel: 094 320 87 04, Mr. Cuong Teacher.

So glad I found Impress Travel

At first, I was just planning a trip to Hanoi, Halong Bay, and Ninh Binh for my small family.
Some close friends heard about our plans and wanted to join the trip. Eventually the group grew to be 7 families, with 25 adults and children of varying interests and expectations.
While I was excited at the prospect of touring Vietnam with good friends, I felt anxiously responsible to ascertain that everything must be well organized and everyone satisfied. This is why I am so very, very glad to have found Impress Travel. Mr. Mark responded quickly to all my inquiries, customized a wonderful trip according to the group's preferences, tirelessly worked out every detail for our 7-day trip, all at a reasonable price. Our guide, Trung, is knowledgeable, helpful, quick to respond to any need, and well-loved by everyone in the group. All my friends found this a marvelous trip, filled with beautiful memories, very much to my delight and relief!

Hanoi,Sapa,Hanoi,Danang,Hanoi 8D7N Online searching for a reliable travel agent n come across Impress Travel. Contacted

Accommodations were good especially Thang Long Espana Hotel (the Hotel Management automated upgraded us to VIP rooms. Is really unexpected). Overalled tours n places visited very well but only local guides r not good organizing the itineraries. Especially at Sapa Lao Cai and Cat Cat Villages walking tours push to the same day about 8hours for 7km (which is on 1st&2nd days arrival) so tiring. Lunch not good enough 4 so many hours of walking. In Danang Bana Hill the local guide shd arrange 2 visit Bana Hill 1st n not last coz' spend a short time n not nice photos taken due to rain (went in morning time no rain).
Overall tours, hotels, transportation, prices are strongly recommended. Especially Daniel Dang Impress Travel for welcoming and bye-bye wishes.
Daniel Dang tks from 8 of us having a wonderful time n memorable trip for 8D7N Sapa, Hanoi, Danang with Impress Travel. Meet u all again.

5days Hanoi-Tam Coc-Ninh Binh-Halong Bay

We are family of 6 from Singapore and Malaysia joining Hanoi Impress Travel on 30 October-04 November 2019. We are really impressed with the company and tour guides with their professionalism and well organised arrangement. Lily is our guide for Hanoi, Tam Coc and Ninh Binh. She is excellent and very informative. She even taking care of us until late night. We walk us from Old Quarters to the hotel and brought us to try the famous road side foods. She even helped us to pay for our order to avoid overcharge by the stall. Another guide, David BK (Swan Cruise) brought us to Halong Bay cruise. He is excellent and humorous. He handles everything throughout the trip. He served meals for guests on the cruise, organised happy hour, guiding us for Kayaking, teaching Taiji and cooking class on cruise. The cruise ship is ok and the hotel in Hanoi-Adamas Hotel is small but new and clean with reasonable ok breakfast. Anyway thank you for the wonderful arrangement.

5D/4N Hanoi-Ninh Binh- Halong Bay

I was searching for a reliable travel agent and come across Impress Travel and the many reviews of them. I booked 5D/4N, Hanoi-Trang An-Halong Bay private trip for a party of 6. I communicated with Mr Daniel Dang throughout the time until the day we arrived. Mr Daniel is very patient, helpful, and accommodating to our requirements despite many changes made to the itinerary. The price is very reasonable unlike other travel agents.
Our tour guide, Lily was very friendly and efficientknowledgeable and speak good English.
Highly recommend “Trang An Boat Tour”. The caves was spectacular and beautifully.
2D/1N Halong Bay – Swan Cruise was awesome with amazing view of the cave. Our guide Mr David was hilarious, helpful, accommodating, and everything was well organized. Beside the normal
activities of kayaking, swimming, Tai Chi, culinary lesson, we are indeed very very fortunate to have
the chance to celebrate the “Mooncake Festival” while cruising and admiring the full moon.
Spread of mooncake, dessert, sweet snack, fruits, cocktail, beer and mini dragon dance complete the celebration. Tourists from all over the world party all night long.
