His expertise in metallurgy led to the construction of some of Vietnam’s most important Buddhist statues, including the especially large bronze bells and Buddha statues in temples around the country today. His influence can still be seen in the Buddhist artistic heritage of Vietnam.
Nguyen Minh Khong was returning to his homeland after years of service to the royal court and wanted to establish a center for spiritual learning and healing.
