Again, bright and early we’ll meet at our designated pickup point in Hanoi and it’s adventure time. The trip to Mai Chau takes off as we leave the busy streets of the city behind. The drive in itself is an experience, passing through Thung Khe Pass, or “White Rock Pass” as it is also known. We’ll pause for photos in this spot for the stunning views of the valley, a panorama of rolling hills, verdant rice paddies, and the river meandering through this peaceful scene.
11:30 AM – Arrive at Mai Chau
We get to Mai Chau around late morning, and the beauty of the place hits you right away. You will hear the sound of wind, and birds chirping and when you open your eyes you will see Mai Chau Hideaway Resort, located in front of Hoa Binh Lake. 2:00 PM – Cycling Tour to Pom Coong & Lac Villages
After lunch, we’ll jump on our bikes for a guided cycle tour of Pom Coong and Lac Villages, some of the most beautiful and culturally rich villages in Mai Chau. These villages are populated by the Thai ethnic people, and everyone lives in symbiosis with nature, which you will see as you cycle through them.
