Pung Luong Travel Guide

Pung Luong is a commune in Mu Cang Chai district, Yen Bai province, Vietnam. Pung Luong commune has an area of 53.06 km², the population in 2019 is 4,060 people, and the population density reaches 77 people/km².
Pung Luong, the commune named after the majestic Pung Luong mountain of Mu Cang Chai mountains and forests, where nearly 100% of the Mong people live. The winding, sloping road from Highway 32 to the commune office, which was once rough and slippery, has now been paved with black and spacious asphalt. The commune’s office is built on two floors on a high windy hill, here you can cover a vast mountainous area with immense green tea forests, and pine forests connecting to the high mountains of planted forests, natural forests, and forests. conservation forests, all to more than 4,000 hectares.
Early morning in Pung Luong valley is covered by foggy, but only in the middle of the day, the sun-filled the back of the mountain, reminiscent of spring coming early. Yes, the spring of heaven and earth, the spring of people’s hearts has really come. Because here and there among the villages, peach blossoms have bloomed, the peach color is bright pink on the cheeks of Hmong girls who wear flower dresses to the near market, far away market… The far market is on the district street, beyond a distance is a pass. Hundreds of kilometers down to Muong Lo market to make an appointment to meet the merchants of Lang Nhi, Ta Xi Lang or Ban Mu, Pa Lau, and Tram Tau. And the market is near, right there at Nga Ba Kim, the market knows a lot of goods. Farmers’ products are brought to the market, consumer goods are brought up from the lowlands, and Hung Nga motorbike shop is open to welcome Hmong boys to choose beautiful motor to ride during Tet.
Na Hang Tua Chu bamboo forest in Pung Luong commune is more than 60 years old, attracting tourists with its pristine beauty. Enjoy the opportunity to escape the crowded streets, social networks, and busy work to be in nature.
Regional specialties:
Pung Luong tea is packed with beautiful designs, including vacuum-packed tea. Pung Luong tea has recently made a brand name comparable to Suoi Giang tea, a kind of tea with rich flavor and water, and what’s more remarkable is that every time it becomes a gift, it also brings with it the love of the Pung Luong people. the love of the people of the mountains… not only that but the fragrance of spring is also spread over the terraced fields to 192 hectares, which is a small number for the lowlands but a miracle for the highlands. The human hand that reclaimed land in the past, broke the ground to bring up wet-rice plants, never thought that one day, that work would become a national scenic spot.
Visit Pung Luong, drunk with the green color of the mountain, the fragrance of the forest, with the sweet taste of tea san, we are also ecstatic by the kindness of the children in the high mountains. During Tet, we drink corn wine, share Banh Day, share delicious meat, get drunk at the sound of the local trumpet, and exchange pounds on the festival. This year is the second year we have had a traditional Lunar New Year together, all the joy comes, and everything saved is waiting for a new year. Is that why the joy seems to be doubled, but my cheeks are pinker, your feet dance more beautiful, and the peach forest blooms for a brighter spring sun…
