Pu Luong Discovery: Tan Phu – Kho Muong village (Homestay) (B, L, D)
AM: Good morning Mai Chai, then enjoy the breakfast before saying goodbye to the friendly host in Poong Coong village, then transfer to Tan Phu by car (25km).
Arrive in Tan Phu where we start the trekking point to Ban Hang village where the home of Muong & Thai people base in, keep on the buffalo trail along with the stream trekking to Kho Muong village (13 km – 4.5-hours trekking). The trekking experience via the rice fields, rice terraces, rivers, and streams, today we have a picnic lunch on the trekking way.
PM: After lunch, we continue trekking to Muong Village, where we stay overnight at the house on the stilt of Muong Ethnic People.
In the evening: Enjoy dinner with Muong’s family.

Day 03
Kho Muong Village – Pho Doan Village – Ninh Binh (B, L)
AM: Good morning Muong village, then enjoy local breakfast, morning tea, and coffee. Say goodbye to the host then trekking for 3.5 hours to Pho Doan village where the main road to meet the car, that picks up you for transferring to Canh Nang Town. On the trekking way, this is a chance to admire the natural scenery of rice fields, rivers, and streams with water-wheels, the local people work or feed the water buffalo in the hill tribe lands that belong to Thai & Muong hill tribes. We arrive in Pho Doan where the small hill tribe town is where to meet the driver and car, we get in the car then transfer to Canh Nang Town for lunch at a local restaurant.
PM: After lunch, we transfer to Cam Thuy Fish Stream River or Ho Ancient Citadel, then to Ninh Binh, stay at a homestay in Ninh Binh.

AM: Good morning Ninh Binh, then we enjoy breakfast before we move to Tam Coc pier for the boat trip to explore Tam Coc (Three Caves) in Ngo Dong River. We take a 1.5-hour rowing boat along river and wetland water rice fields and beautiful karst formation to create three wetland caves in Ngo Dong River, we will take paddle via the 3 of caves then drop off at Ben Thanh River where we will take walk to visit Thai Vi Temple that is limestone church in the center of Tam Coc Area. The car will pick you up to bring you back to the homestay for lunch
PM: After lunch, we will ride a bicycle to explore the countryside in Tam Coc Area via Thung Nang & Dam Khe Trong village reaching up to the Bich Dong pagoda complex, where we trek up the top of Truong Yen Mountain to observe Truong Yen Commune. We move down the hop in the bike to return to Homestay for an afternoon tea break with some fresh seasonable fruits where the car and driver are awaiting you to transfer to Hoa Lu ancient capital before return to Hanoi.
Pu Luong is a natural reservation in the northern land of Vietnam. It is 160 km away from Hanoi and is a 4-hour drive north-west of Hanoi. Pu Luong Reserve is located in Quan Hoa & Bac Thuoc District, Thanh Hoa Province and shares a border with Hoa Binh Province in Tan Lac, Mai Chau, and Lac Son districts, and is divided by a central valley, which contains several human settlements and a large area of agricultural land, therefore, it is not included within the nature reserve.
