Upon entering Cai Be, we start our program with the famous Cai Be Floating Market. This market is one of the last remaining genuine floating markets in the Mekong Delta. It comes alive in the early morning and rouses to its original morning rhythms: sale of fresh fruits and veggies from local vendors and other items straight off their boats. You may get a glimpse of, or even give a hand in, this lively trade the tradition that has seen many generations.
09:30 AM: Local market visit in the morning. Your guide will introduce you to some of the traders, giving you an insight into their daily lives and how important the local markets are in the communities. 04:00 PM – Arrival Back in Ho Chi Minh City
We will drive back to Ho Chi Minh City, arriving around 4:00 PM. You will then be transferred to your hotel, at which point your Mekong Delta Classic Experience comes to an end. Your adventure will start early in the morning when you drive from Ho Chi Minh City to Ben Tre, known as Vietnam’s “Coconut Kingdom." This drive took approximately two hours and saw your back face the cityscape, with huge areas of green countryside covering areas that make up the Mekong Delta.
