Day 2: Ban Ho – Silver Waterfall – Tram Ton Forest Trails

Continue to Vietnam’s highest road pass, Tram Ton Pass, which is also called the “Heaven’s Gate of Sapa". Here, you’ll have a brief nature trail walk at the Tram Ton Forest Gate with an opportunity to enjoy the ancient trees and cool wind of the Hoang Lien National Park.

Return to Sapa and unwind before your evening meal.

Day 3: Sapa Market – Organic Handicrafts – Departure

Following breakfast, we go to Sapa Central Market, an active area where ethnic villagers sell locally made embroidery, dried plants, beeswax, and various other items. Your guide will lead you to stalls engaged in sustainable sourcing and fair trade.
09:00 – 10:30
Go to a nearby textile cooperative and see for yourself how the time-honored process of brocade-making, natural plant dyeing, and weaving is done. If you have time, you can weave a few threads for yourself.
10:30 – 12:00
Return to your hotel to clean up and checkout. Lunch at an available restaurant (at your own expense) prior to your transfer to Lao Cai station or your onward destination.

You are met at Lao Cai station by your guide, who brings you up into the highlands to Sapa town, with a quick stop to prepare, and then drive straight to Sau Chua, a secluded spot that is not often frequented by tourists.

We embark upon an excursion into deep, uncharted mountain paths. We will journey toward Ancient Rock Cave, a mysterious and legendary natural formation. On the journey, look forward to passing streams, woodland trails, and hillside meadows.

Picnicking under trees or alongside a creek is asy, wholesome, and well-deserved.
14:30 – 17:00
We press deeper into Y Linh Ho, which is inhabited by the Black H’mong people. Your base for the night is this rural village. You’ll be staying at a traditional homestay, which is clean and comfortable, and prepare for an evening to remember.
18:00 – 20:00
Local BBQ for dinner, charcoal-grilled by your hosting family, with locally-raised pork, sticky rice, wild herbs, and locally available vegetables. Day 2: Conquer O Quy Ho Pass – Glass Bridge – Back to Pistachio

Depart after breakfast to bid your hosts goodbye and proceed with a short ride to the base of the legendary O Quy Ho Pass, considered to be one of Vietnam’s four great mountain passes.

We walk along part of the pass, climbing scenic heights with breathtaking vistas of the Hoang Lien Son range. Pine trees buffeted by the wind, mist curling between summits this is adventure at its most elemental.
