Day 2: Trekking to Lao Than Peak
04:00: This is a very special day as today we will climb to the Lao Than Peak. With headlamps and cameras at the ready, join us for this dawn-time climb in the cool darkness.
06:00: First light on the summit, and the world is reborn. Now, standing atop 2,860 m above sea level look down at the sea of clouds rolling over the peaks, like waves lapping against the shores. You will be walking on air, it seems. Take in the view, record the moment, and celebrate with your commemorative medal.
08:00: Having drunk in the beauty, we start to make our way down to the second campsite at 2,600m. The trail offers fresh perspectives of the surrounding mountains, and I’ll guide you to some of my favorite viewpoints.
12:30: Lunch at the campsite, including time to rest. The afternoon is free to roam around, take pictures, or just rest in the serene surroundings of the mountains.
18:30: Dinner is one of the tasty meals prepared by our porters. Then after dinner, under the stars that just started to appear, we tell jokes and share stories around the campfire for fun.
Day 3: Return to Sapa
06:30: After having a contented breakfast, descend to Y Ty. The same path is as familiar as in the dark now but feels completely different since morning light dances through trees.
11:00: Arrival in the local village of Y Ty where the villagers will have a chance to experience the livelihood of the local villagers. Learn about their tradition and unique way of agriculture while mixing up with the local warm and welcoming people of Y Ty village.
