Let me take you to Pom Coong Village to explore its serene beauty, which marinates natural charm with rich cultural history. The name “Pom Coong" is derived from the Thai language which “Pom" means hill and “Coong" means drum. Combined, it symbolizes the village’s placement nestled between gentle hills that seem to echo the peaceful rhythm of existence here. It is a traditional Thai village, and by illustrating the continuous passing down of cultures and lifestyles through generations of the Thai ethnic group, it makes for an exciting destination for anyone interested in the cultural experience in Mai Chau.
Now, put into your imagination a landscape or scene that is made up of rolling hills with dense greenery, wide spread rice fields, and tranquil rural trekking paths. If trekking through these fields, or just having views from sitting comfortably in a homestay, the natural scenery of Pom Coong will make one feel infatuated. This is one of the reasons many travelers choose this village for their tour of Mai Chau.
