Checklists to know for the Arrive at Hanoi Airport

As you prepare for your journey to Hanoi, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free arrival at the airport is essential. To help you navigate through the arrival process at Noi Bai International Airport seamlessly, here are two essential checklists to keep in mind:

Currency Exchange

Currency Exchange

Currency Exchange

Upon your arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, one of the first tasks on your checklist should be currency exchange. While some vendors in Hanoi may accept major foreign currencies such as US dollars or euros, it’s always advisable to have Vietnamese Dong (VND) on hand for convenience and ease of transactions.

Fortunately, Noi Bai Airport offers several currency exchange counters where you can exchange your currency for Vietnamese Dong. These counters are typically located in the arrival hall, making it convenient for travelers to exchange their money upon arrival. While exchange rates may vary slightly between counters, it’s a good idea to compare rates and fees before making your transaction to ensure you get the best value for your money.

Additionally, if you prefer to withdraw cash from an ATM, you’ll find several ATMs located throughout the airport, allowing you to access Vietnamese Dong directly from your bank account. However, be sure to check with your bank regarding any international transaction fees or ATM withdrawal limits that may apply.

Noi Bai Airport is equipped with several telecom kiosks and mobile service providers where you can purchase a prepaid SIM card or top up your existing plan. These SIM cards typically come with various data packages to suit your needs, allowing you to stay connected at affordable rates throughout your stay in Hanoi.

Alternatively, if you prefer the convenience of international roaming, contact your mobile service provider before your departure to inquire about roaming options and rates for Vietnam. While international roaming may offer convenience, it’s essential to be aware of potential roaming charges and data usage limits to avoid any unexpected fees on your phone bill.
