To explore Nguom Ngao Cave where is Located about 4km to the south of Ban Gioc Waterfall. Nguom Ngao Cave has formed about 300 million years ago. In the Tay language, Nguom Ngao means Tiger Cave (Nguom: cave, Ngao: tiger). Legend has it that in the past many dangerous tigers were living in this cave. Some people say that the name of the cave originates from the fact that the sound of a running stream in the cave sounds like the roar of a tiger. This cave is also called Wind Cave because inside the cave there is an underground stream that flows very fast, creating a gust of wind and a loud echo in the mountains. Some French people and Vietnamese mandarins discovered this cave when they visited Ban Gioc Waterfall in 1921.
