Danang, a city on the central coast of Vietnam, is known for its festive atmosphere and bustling. Thus, these events for event tours in Danang reflect the city’s rich cultural heritage and serve the travel and tourism sector. This way, visitors to these events can see a slice of local life, and they are part of a unique cultural experience. Danang has a full range of festivals, from international events to local traditional festival in Danang, that are a good way to experience life in the city. For first-time travellers to conference regulars, there is no doubt that the events organized in Danang will be a highlight of the Danang Tours itinerary.
Danang International Fireworks Competition (DIFF) INDRA 2021
Da Nang International Fireworks Festival
The Danang International Fireworks Festival, which forms part of the events tours in Danang, is one of the most spectacular festivals at DIFF. Established in 2008, the DIFF has become a prominent cultural event, attracting teams of pyrotechnicians worldwide. Located along the Han River, the festival usually runs from late April to early May.
Discovering International Friendship (DIFF) has a long history in its commitment-driven mission. The competition features teams from different countries conducting their annual theme fireworks displays. These pyrotechnic wonders are a marvel of visual aesthetics and significant to global unity and creativity.
Apart from the stunning fireworks display, DIFF offers many activities like street parades, cultural shows, and food festivals. These side events add value to the entire experience, giving a tour of Danang with a holistic cultural display.
This is essential for anyone who wants to make it to DIFF; considering the high requirement for traveller accommodations, this is an early booking. The Hàn River is the best place to catch the fireworks display, with the bridge views of Tran Thi Ly and Danang’s iconic Dragon Bridge the most popular, though you’ll want to get there early to reserve your spot. On these tours, you have a reserved seat to ensure a place, and you often have professional guides to enrich your experience.
Quan The Am Festival
in Danang (Buddha of Mercy)
In general, event tours in Danang can only be completed with a trip to the Quan The Am Festival in Danang to worship the Goddess of Mercy. The festival sees thousands of pilgrims and tourists visiting the Marble Mountains annually. The festival falls on the 17th to 19th day of the 2nd month of the lunar calendar.
Deeply rooted in Buddhist traditions, this festival carries a vast history. This is the symbol of the Compassion form of the Goddess, a religious ceremony consisting of a prayer for peace and elevation. Important festival events are the procession of the statue of the Goddess, prayers, and performances of different religious rites. It always brings satisfaction and a taste of a culture rarely seen in mainstream society.
The festival includes religious ceremonies, traditional performances, folk games and exhibitions of local crafts. These activities testify to the city’s rich cultural tapestry, making them mandatory in any Danang Tours program.
You should dress modestly and respectfully to participate in the Quan The Am Festival. I highly encourage a guided tour to grasp the festival’s significance and some added organization. Visiting the Marble Mountains during the festival also gives a peaceful and spiritual vibe that adds value to the trip.

Boat Racing Festival
The Boat Racing Festival of Han River is indispensable for Danang event tours. The event occurs each year in January (the first month of the lunar calendar). It commemorates the city’s maritime history and the importance of the Han River to the local community. Boat racing, historically, is a meaningful activity with local people since it demonstrates unity and a high commutative spirit.
The festival is held on the scenic banks of the Han River and features thrilling boat races and teams from many districts and provinces. Cheered on by a crowd of spectators, the brightly coloured boats, each containing a crew of rowers, speed to the finish line to claim victory. The races compete for power, balance and stamina, making for exciting viewing.
The festival in Danang offers cultural displays and events along with the boat races. Local song and dance performances and food stalls selling traditional dishes make for a lively cultural experience for those visiting. It shows the historical significance of Danang (also the long-time civilization cuff right from the river)
Visitors can view the elk from spots along the river bank when they first enter the park. Head towards specifically the Dragon Bridge and a few parts near the Tran Thi Ly Bridge, which provide the best view for this race.
