1. Overview:
Voi Phuc Temple is a temple in Thang Long four towns of Thang Long citadel (now Hanoi), guarding the west of the citadel. Outside the temple door, there are two elephants kneeling on the ground, so the temple is called Voi Phuc.
2. History of Temple:
Voi Phuc Temple is currently located in Ngoc Khanh ward, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi. Previously, the temple was located in the Tu Tran system, “keeping" the west of the citadel. This place was originally a land with many lakes and ponds, muddy, one of the Thirteen Camps dating from the Ly Dynasty. At that time, belonging to the general grandfather, Quang Duc district, Phung Thien palace (formerly Mr. Thien) Legend has it that Voi Phuc temple was built in the 7th year of Chuong Thanh Gia Khanh (1065) of the reign of King Ly Thanh Tong on a hill. Highland belongs to the land of Thu Le camp – one of 13 villages in the west of Thang Long citadel. The opening of the temple, now is the four-pillar gate, like the cosmic shafts that bring vitality from the upper floor to the earth (this is a product of the XIX – XX centuries), on both sides of the gate there are steles and a pair of elephants. 3. Architecture:
The road to the yard has three paths, in the middle there are 12 wide stone steps, where only for the procession of palanquins during the holidays, normally go two ways. In front of the middle entrance is a square well that means gathering water to gather happiness, where in the past used to take water for offerings (perhaps the well has been changed to square recently). The meaning of water and fullness is also reflected in the stone “rounded" rattan dragons, a product of the mid-nineteenth century, and the two tigers attached to the two sides of the main door are embossed, bearing the standard. Voi Phuc Temple has the shape of the word Cong. The sacrifice is 5 compartments, the structure is because of the stack of bamboos, the roof is roofed with tiles of the ancient comedy nose. Middle road 1 space runs along the inside to connect with the harem. At this court is a large throne carved with dragons, meticulous flowers, and 19th-century artistic touches. Under the throne of worshiping the god is a statue of two generals kneeling in adoration. The harem also has 5 compartments, the middle one in the deepest position and the highest one is the statue of Linh Lang Dai Vuong with a delicate and noble face. In front of his statue is a large stone placed in a glass box. The stone has an indentation, it is said that the god used to rest his head on this stone. On either side of the stone are statues of two assistants standing in adoration. In the temple, in addition to the statues, there are also diaphragms, couplets, incense sticks, long thrones, bowls of hammocks and sacrifices. They are all painted with golden luster.

4. Event:
The festival of the temple is an annual cultural activity, open in nature, with the participation of the ten directions, beyond the space of Thu Le land, at least in Thuy Khue, Thu Le, Van Phuc and the region.
