With a long-standing culture and diverse types of tourism, Halal tours are a new type of tourism, especially to attract domestic and foreign Muslim visitors to visit and experience. Hanoi. The article below contains useful information for tourists interested in this type of tourism.

Prospects for Halal tours in Hanoi

Travel

Travel

Halal tours is a fairly new type, although it is not yet very popular nationwide. Halal tours in Hanoi are gradually being welcomed by tourists. In recent years, the number of tourists from Asian countries and especially Muslim tourists to Hanoi and Vietnam has been gradually increasing.

The Halal tours market in Hanoi is experiencing significant growth and development with changes in trends and services to meet the increasing demand for Halal tourism. Specifically, the prospective market trends are as follows:

  • Customized travel packages: Travel companies specializing in Halal tourism are offering tailored packages that include prayer facilities, Halal food and cultural experiences. These packages cater to the specific needs and preferences of Muslim travelers, making it easier for them to plan and enjoy their trips.
  • Halal food innovation: The demand for Halal food has led to culinary innovation in the tourism and hospitality industry. Restaurants and airlines are offering more Halal dishes to cater to customers’ diverse tastes.
  • Halal certified accommodation: Many hotels and resorts are trying to provide services that meet Halal standards and certification to attract Muslim guests. They provide amenities such as prayer mats, copies of the Quran, and gender-specific amenities to create a comfortable and welcoming environment for Muslim travelers.
  • Family-oriented travel: Muslim families often travel together, making family-friendly facilities and activities an important trend in Halal travel. The destinations have attractions suitable for every member of the family and provide privacy for women and children.
  • Islamic heritage and culture: Destinations with rich Islamic heritage and culture are becoming increasingly popular among Muslim tourists. These tourists seek tourist attractions that can explore historical sites, mosques, and museums that reflect their faith and history.
  • Wellness and spa tourism: The Halal tours market is also seeing an increase in wellness and spa services catering to Muslim travelers, including women-only spas.

In recent years, a large number of tourists from Asian countries and especially Muslims have come to Vietnam. After the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Muslims spending on tourism reached 102 billion USD in 2021, an increase of 75.9% compared to 2020 (58 billion USD), forecast to reach 189 billion USD in 2021. 2025.

The strong and rapid development of Halal tours is the driving force for this type of tourism’s potential, which is the development of the Muslim middle class. These people are willing to spend a lot on travel. Especially in times of economic development like today, their need for tourism spending increases.

As Muslim populations around the world continue to grow, more individuals and families are looking for new travel experiences. Not only are they interested in popular destinations, but they also want cultural, religious and social experiences that align with their faith, creating a significant demand for services with Halal tours.

Halal food market serving international tourism in Hanoi

Halal Food

Halal Food

The Halal tourism market is concentrated in South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the South Pacific. Countries with a large number of Muslims include: Saudi Arabia, UAE, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Türkiye. To attract these Muslim guests who are willing to come to Vietnam to visit and experience Halal landscapes, cuisine, and culture, culinary promotion is also an important factor.

Restaurants and hotels targeting Halal customers are always trying to find ingredients to match Halal cuisine and standards. Vietnam has also introduced appropriate policies to create conditions for Halal tours and especially cuisine to develop, suitable for these Muslim guests.

Although not the birthplace of unique Halal cuisine, Vietnam is an impressive and attractive tourist destination with a unique and rich culinary paradise and a place that international tourists want to visit. . There is something special about this cuisine that has advantages such as: ensuring food hygiene and safety (a product must go through many processing and strict testing processes to obtain Halal certification).

Halal food must be produced in the most humane way, such as animal meat products, the requirement is to make the animal faint, then prepare quickly to avoid the animal being drawn, quality The meat will be better and will not have any negative effects on the user’s reaction.

When visitors come to Hanoi to visit or experience a Halal tour, there will be many options for quality restaurants and eateries that meet Halal standards. To know more, we can refer to the best itinerary for guests when experiencing Halal tour below.

Best itinerary for Halal tours in Hanoi

Itinerary

Itinerary

Vietnam is currently an attractive destination for Muslim tourists. However, tourist destinations related to Islamic culture are still quite limited. Below is a specific schedule to visit Halal tours in Hanoi in one session, which many tourists consider to be the best itinerary:

Al-Noor Mosque

The first place on that journey is Al-Noor Mosque. This is the largest mosque in Vietnam built in 1970. The mosque has an Islamic style architectural design with special patterns and decorative details. Currently, Al-Noor is the only mosque in Hanoi and the North. Every day, there are still believers who come here to pray, but the largest number will be on Friday and it is also a meeting place for the Muslim community.

Al-Noor Mosque can accommodate about 200 people to pray, including the outside yard, which is 300 people. The ambassadors who come here are equal to other Muslims. Those who arrive early will be allowed to enter the inner hall to pray, while those who arrive late must accept the ceremony outside.

Vietnam Museum of Islamic Culture

After visiting Al-Noor Mosque, visitors will go to the next stop on the Halal tour which is the Vietnam Museum of Islamic Culture. This place can help visitors easily visualize the unique culture, symbols, history and development of Islam.

Vietnam Museum of Islamic Culture is a place to introduce the history, culture and customs of the Muslim community in Vietnam. The museum has many artifacts, documents and pictures reflecting the gentle life of this community. In addition, when coming here, visitors can learn more information about the lifestyle, typical culture in Islam, and the beauty of Muslims.

Enjoy lunch at– Dalcheeni restaurant

Dalcheeni_Restaurant

Dalcheeni Restaurant

Noon is the time when visitors can have lunch at a restaurant imbued with Halal culture. Dalcheeni is one of the restaurants that meets Halal standards and is among the top recognized restaurants in Hanoi. The restaurant’s location is at 100 Xuan Dieu Street, Tu Lien Ward, Tay Ho District, Hanoi.

The space is luxurious and comfortable, the layout is simple, the main color tones are white and brown, and there are delicate Indian patterns that make visitors feel gentle and modern. The restaurant has very diverse and rich cuisine, enthusiastic service, and reasonable prices.

This is one of many international restaurants where foodies come to enjoy authentic royal Indian specialties such as kebabs, curries and Halal Muslim dishes. Especially in the menu of Dalcheeni restaurant, there are many attractive dishes such as: Tamatar Tulsi Shorba, Allahabadi Samosa, Paneer Tikka… Delicious taste, professional service, reasonable prices.

Notes when visiting the mosque

During a visit to mosques, in addition to polite attire, visitors always remember other important issues. To have a smooth Halal tour, guests should know a few notes to avoid troublesome, offensive actions as well as respectful attitudes from people in the mosque:

  • Shoes must be removed before entering the mosque. Absolutely do not walk back and forth in front of believers when they are performing prayers.
  • Female tourists need to choose polite, discreet outfits that do not hug the body and do not reveal any skin on the body. Women especially need to cover their hair when entering the mosque.
  • Male visitors should wear long pants, long-sleeved shirts, and not tight-fitting clothing.
  • Especially when traveling to Muslim countries, in mosques or mosques, tourists are absolutely not allowed to touch the Koran or unknown objects in the church.
  • Taking photos while visiting a mosque also requires dexterity and careful observation. If there is a place where photography is prohibited, visitors must strictly comply. It is your respect for Muslim culture, showing that you are polite and knowledgeable.

Conclusion

The above-mentioned places in Halal tours in Hanoi are not only unique architectural works but also carry profound spiritual, cultural, and historical values of a religion. Although the number of attractions is limited to give tourists more choices, our government also has policies to attract more Halal tourists.

Each location has its own stories and unique characteristics that other religions do not have. Developing Halal tourism in Hanoi is also a way to promote the trend of Halal tours with Muslims in Vietnam and international tourists. In addition, this also stimulates demand for the tourism industry to develop, increase GDP and promote part of Vietnam’s cultural identity.

Hope the above information is useful to tourists who are interested in Halal tours in Hanoi. Don’t forget to follow Impress travel’s Website and Facebook to learn more interesting information about tourism in general and Muslim travel in particular.
