The marble wares offered range from the most delicate sculptures to exquisite home decorations. For real marble pieces, one may step into the local workshops at the foot of the mountains. This is not merely purchasing; it is an emblem of living heritage in support of the local craftsmen. It will be a genuine piece of this timeless craft.

Silk and Textiles

Danang offers a rich selection of high-quality silk and traditional fabrics. Just a short distance away, Hoi An Silk Village not only provides premium silk products but also showcases the entire silk-making process, from the silkworm to the final fabric. The textiles here are deeply infused with cultural significance, their patterns and designs echoing the region’s heritage. Vietnamese Coffee

Vietnam is synonymously known for its strong coffee culture, and this trait is rightly followed in Danang, with many of its local coffee brands offering beans from the central highlands that are oozing with rich flavor profiles. Coffee lovers should venture into the many coffee joints in the city where one can purchase ground coffee to carry back home. Notable shops include Golden Pine Coffee on Bach Dang Street and Long Coffee, popular for its traditional brewing style and original flavor. Purchasing Vietnamese coffee in Danang will not only taste the local flavors but also benefit the agricultural communities of the region.

Handicrafts and Art

The lacquer of Danang

Lacquerware

The lacquer of Danang is a tradition art form with ancient techniques passed on through generations; it is famous for the shiny, smooth finish with intricate, hand-painted designs. Purchased in Danang, one may go to local galleries and at the Non Nuoc Fine Arts Village to see all ranges of lacquer, from vases to decorative plates. It is through such a detailed process of layering, sanding, and polishing that one can appreciate a piece from the months of work the artists put into every item. These lacquer items serve two causes: they are beautiful house decorations and, at the same time, are symbols of Vietnamese craftsmanship that can pass the test of time.

Handmade Jewelry

At the very heart of all the hustle and bustle of Danang markets are items of handcrafted jewelry that are unique and made from materials native to the area: silver, pearls, and even items that have been recycled. Artisans at such markets as Con Market and Han Market showcase their creativity in creating modern Vietnamese designs when they sell their jewelry. Buying the jewelry keeps the economy afloat and allows for the continued development of artisanal skills. Be sure to visit such a market during the Danang tours to see them in action and have your own jewelry that will speak of both the old and new.
