Sightseeing
Ba Chua Xu Temple on Sam Mountain
Ba Chua Xu Temple on Sam Mountain, 5 km from Chau Doc city center, is a familiar place for pilgrims coming to An Giang to pray for peace and fortune every year. Located at the foot of Sam Mountain, the Ba Chua Xu Temple Festival on Sam Mountain takes place from the 23rd to the 27th of the fourth lunar month. This festival vividly recreates the period when Vietnamese people came to An Giang, commemorating the merits of those who opened the land, helped people quell rebellions, and brought favorable weather to the southwestern region of the country.
Since 2021, An Giang has put into operation a cable car system up the mountain with a total length of 900 m, with 37 cabins, each cabin can accommodate 8 passengers. Currently, the round-trip cable car ticket price for adults is 150,000 VND.
Chau Doc Market
This is a must-see destination in the city, a place for trading and exchanging goods of local traders. Entering Chau Doc market, the first thing that catches the eye of visitors are stalls selling all kinds of fish sauce, it is easy to understand why this place is called “The Kingdom of Fish Sauce". The fish sauce here is made from different types of fish such as snakehead fish, snakehead fish, linh fish, striped fish. From many famous family recipes, each type of fish sauce here has a unique and distinctive flavor. In addition, Chau Doc market is also a culinary paradise with countless typical dishes of the West such as fish noodles, fish sauce hotpot, fish sauce noodles, cakes and many other foods.
Basa fish monument
About 200 meters from Chau Doc market, close to the bank of Hau river is the statue of basa fish. The statue is 12 meters high, made by sculptor Tran Thanh Phong. The statue has a stylized shape of a fish raft with the lower part and the upper part is the image of a basa fish jumping out of the water. Basa fish have been associated with the people of An Giang for nearly 100 years, helping tens of thousands of households here have a stable income and become rich. The monument not only has the meaning of gratitude for this fish, but also honors those who work in fish farming.
Colorful floating village
The fish farming village at the Chau Doc River junction, right in the city center, was implemented by the An Giang Trade and Investment Promotion Center to highlight the typical tourism product of the Mekong Delta. Freshwater fish farming in cages is a traditional occupation, a characteristic of the people around the Mekong River basin.
161 rafts stretching over 1 km are covered in the order of red, yellow, orange, green, blue, purple. The location of the raft village is on the sightseeing route to learn about and experience the river life and culture of the Cham community in An Giang. Tourists can visit the raft village by boat, experiencing life on the raft houses.
Tomb of Lord Ngoc Hau
Thoai Ngoc Hau Tomb is an ancient architectural work, typical of the feudal period and was ranked as a national historical relic of Vietnam in 1997. The work is to commemorate Mr. Thoai Ngoc Hau – the person who reclaimed and defended the land of An Giang. The mausoleum has a large campus, surrounded by walls, the entrance gate is cast in a semicircle, creating a solid and sturdy position. In addition to visiting the mausoleum, you also have the opportunity to visit the exhibition house of rare ancient artifacts, with high historical and cultural value.
Cave temple
Hang Pagoda is located on the slopes of Sam Mountain, and is also a pilgrimage destination for tourists. The pagoda is surrounded by majestic mountains and many flowers blooming all year round. The pagoda grounds are built with many attractions such as the main hall, cave path, Lien Tri Hai Hoi lake, and fairy yard. The pagoda is harmoniously designed with the main red color, roofed with tube tiles, elaborately carved columns and roofs, and paved stone paths with steps for convenient movement.
Huynh Dao Pagoda
Huynh Dao Pagoda was built in 1996 in Chinese architectural style with a large space. This is a place where visitors and Buddhists come to visit and worship. Initially, the pagoda only had Tam Bao, then continued to build the bell tower, Quan Am pavilion… creating a magnificent campus as it is today.
Huynh Dao Pagoda has a campus of 3,000 m2 with more than 50 stone Buddha statues in many different postures and appearances. Among them, we must mention the statue of Bodhisattva Guanyin in a meditating posture, over 30 meters high, adding to the majestic and solemn look of the pagoda.
Every Tet holiday, the pagoda is one of the tourist destinations in Chau Doc where many Buddhists come here to worship Buddha, visit the pagoda, and pray for peace and luck for their families.

9.30: Start trekking to Lao Chai and Ta Van villages down in Muong Hoa valley. Enjoy the spectacular views of the beautiful valley towards Fansipan – the highest peak of Vietnam and Indochina. ROAD JOURNEY FROM HUE TO HOI AN (B, L)
You have breakfast at the hotel, then you have time to rest and explore Hue city on your own in the morning.

You will drive south of Hue, along National Highway 1, to Hoi An, a journey of about three hours.
You will pass through Hai Van Pass (which means May Duong Pass). There are some spectacular viewpoints and photo opportunities along the way as the Truong Son range cuts across the narrow center of the country.
On the way through the port city of Da Nang with the option to stop to see the famous ‘Da Nang Beach’ and Marble Mountain before continuing south to Hoi An.

VISIT THE FLOATING MARKET AND TAKE AN CYCLING TOUR IN THE MEKONG DELTA (B,L)
Private car and tour guide will pick you up at your hotel and take you to visit the Mekong Delta: We will take a two-hour scenic drive to a lush green area in the middle of the Mekong Delta called is Ben Tre.
On the way we will stop to visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, an ancient architectural gem of the South. Built in 1849, the structure is a fusion of Asian and European architecture that includes elements from the Renaissance, Romanesque styles, French floral decorations, and Japanese tiles.
The car will take us to My Tho port. Here, you will board a motorized boat to travel to Ben Tre, where you will visit a small coconut candy factory to get a glimpse of a typical family business in this area. 30 minutes of floating on the waves will take you deeper into the Delta.
Hop off the boat and stroll around peaceful villages and picturesque orchards until reaching the Fruite Garden to rest. Here you can taste freshly picked fruit at the invitation of friendly local farmers.
Then enjoy a simple but delicious lunch including Mekong Delta specialties. Then, enjoy an exciting boating trip under the shade of nipa palm trees along idyllic small canals. DRIVE FROM CAN THO TO HO CHI MINH CITY (B,L)
Morning visit to Cai Rang Floating Market: After an early breakfast this morning depart by road to a nearby dock, and board a sampan boat to explore Cai Rang, the largest floating market on the Mekong. The seemingly chaotic gathering is mostly large boats wholesaling vegetables and fruit, but there are also local traders selling groceries to the larger boats. Weave around the vessels and observe the frenzied trading. The morning tour continues with a trip along the small canals, through local villages, to a fruit orchard garden. Then return to hotel for lunch.

Morning tour of the Cu Chi Tunnels: After breakfast travel out of the city to the Cu Chi Tunnels. This vast network of tunnels, stretching for over 150 kilometres, was built by the Viet Cong in the battles for the South. The tunnels are a sobering insight into the dedication of the Viet Cong who virtually lived in the narrow and claustrophobic tunnels whilst the war raged. Nearby, a chilling demonstration of the traps and weapons that were used against the Americans is given. The Cu Chi tunnels have been widened in places for visitors, however they can still be dark, hot and claustrophobic inside so please bear this in mind if you do not like enclosed spaces.
Afternoon tour of Saigon: This afternoon is free time at your leisure or going arounf Ho Chi Minh City for shopping and buy sourvernirs for your family & friends.
Private transfer: This evening your guide and driver will transfer you to the airport for your return flight.
