The Legend of Thien Cung
The Story of the Dragon King and Princess May
The mystique of Thien Cung Grotto is based on an eternal legend that colors every visit magically. A legend of the locals has it that the cave once served as a royal residence for the King of Dragons and his beautiful bride, Princess May. When the King of Dragons returned from defeating enemies, a grand wedding celebration was thrown right here in this cave. Further inwards, the feeling of the presence of these mythological beings is a perfect blend of history and imagination, lifting the experience of the Halong Scenic tours even higher.

On-rock storytelling makes the cave a living museum of Halong’s cultural and mythical heritage mesmerizing every tourist who steps inside.
Cultural Symbolism and Its Influence on Local Traditions
This story of the Dragon King is important to the people living in Halong. It is not a story but has become, in fact, an object of pride for the locals-a means of cohering, even a source of strength in times of hardship. For tourists taking the services of the Halong Scenic tours, this story provides an interesting look at what it is that essentially keeps the heart of Halong running and allows the visitor to feel a real affinity to the heritage that this region preserves.

Chamber Two: The Grand Pillars of Life
The second chamber is the height of grandeur: towering limestone pillars appear as if speaking their silent stories. Adding to the mystery, there are natural sound effects echo of voices, and whistling of the wind through the chamber that makes this chamber living and breathing itself. Many tourists say that this room makes a Halong Scenic tours quite unforgettable.
Chamber Three: The Garden of Tranquility
