A Temple Steeped in History

Constructed in the 18th century, Pothi Somron Temple has historically been a spiritual refuge for the Khmer people, embodying their deep-rooted Buddhist beliefs and the deep relationship they have with the land. Dress Modestly on Mekong Tours Visit Pothi Somron Temple

Dress code for visiting sacred sites, temple including Pothi Somron Temple. Generally speaking, men and women must cover their shoulders, knees, and chest. Loose, light clothing, preferably cotton or linen, helps keep you cool and also maintains respect for the temple’s customs.

There are two seasons in the Mekong Delta: rainy season ( May-October) and dry season (November-April). Especially during the dry season when the weather is cooler, less humid, and much more suited for exploring temples and cultural sites.
