10:00 AM – Arrive at Cai Rang Floating Market

When we step onto our boat, the scent of fresh produce hangs in the air. The most substantial floating market is the Cai Rang, where a crowded display of boats is piled high with pineapples, coconuts, and vegetables. Sellers call out their products and locals drink Vietnamese ca phe sua da (iced milk coffee), their boats gently rocking with the current. We’ll sip a cup of this iconic brew on a boat like the locals do.

11:30 AM – Traditional Mekong Lunch by the River

And by now, you’ll have built up an appetite for exploring, which can be best quenched with a Mekong authentic-style lunch. A short drive takes us to Binh Thuy Ancient House, a stunning example of French-Vietnamese architecture. 5:30 PM – Sunset Stroll at Ninh Kieu Wharf

Ninh Kieu Wharf in the dusk is magical, with a golden sky shining down on the boats passing in the water. We’ll stroll, absorbing the scene before dinner.

6:30 PM – Dinner by the Mekong

We dine on grilled fish, hot pot, and tropical fruit by the river tonight. It’s the perfect way to call it a day, with the soothing breeze from the Mekong and the sound of brushing waves.

6:30 AM – Visit Phong Dien Floating Market

8:00 AM – Transfer to Tra Su Cajuput Forest

Now it’s time to move to new terrain, making our rounds around the beautiful wetlands of Tra Su Cajuput Forest. When we climb aboard our boat, the water is emerald green and cloaked in a carpet of water ferns. Look around — there are rare birds perched among the trees, colorful dragonflies flitting across the water, and the towering cajuput trees serving as sentinels of the swamp.

10:30 AM – Birdwatching & Tower Climb

We’ll ascend to the top of the birdwatching tower where we can take in the stunning view of the flooded forest from above. If you are a photography lover, now is your time!

12:00 PM – Lunch in An Giang

For our midday meal, we find a countryside restaurant where using fresh local ingredients, we’ll tuck into grilled snakehead fish, bamboo shoot salad, and Mekong-style hotpot.

1:30 PM – Explore Sam Mountain & Ba Chua Xu Temple

We then head to Sam Mountain, where the Ba Chua Xu Temple, one of the most sacred spiritual sites in the Mekong Delta. As I lead you through, I’ll tell you about the age-old traditions and legends surrounding this holy site.

3:00 PM – Return to Ho Chi Minh City (For 2-Day Tour)

For those continuing with the 2-Day tour — we’ll start heading back to Ho Chi Minh City, arriving around 7:30 PM.
