Overview: Lung Tam Village is well-known as a long-standing traditional craft village of brocade weaving by the Hmong in Dong Van, Ha Giang Province. In addition, brocade products are favored by both domestic and foreign visitors, and the unique feature in the weaving process of Lung Tam village is an attraction for visitors to Quan Ba district. When travelers visit Lung Tam village, visitors will have a chance to experience the daily life of the locals. Hmong women diligently work with looms to create beautiful brocade and linen pieces from flax fibers. The weaving of a fine brocade piece is the pride of Hmong women. The main weaving material is flax fibers so all Hmong women have individual fields for growing flax plants. After harvesting, the flax plants are soaked in water to extract the fibers. Then the fibers are rolled and steamed to make them softer. The locals use natural colors from forest leaves and wood to dye the fibers.

Location: Lung Tam commune is located in a small valley with the Mien River winding and flowing, and the four sides of the commune are high mountain ranges, creating a charming mountain landscape.
How to get there: From the center of Ha Giang city, you move in the direction of 4C towards Ha Giang – Quan Ba. Going through Tam Son town about 3km down the pass, winding road (Coc Ma village), turned onto the small road leading to Lung Tam village.
What to buy in Lung Tam Village: Various cloth products, wallets, blankets, bags, and pillows are made in Lung Tam Village, Dong Van, Ha Gang. Lung Tam weaving village now has diverse products such as dresses, bags, wallets, and cloth. Each item is made with the skilled hands of the Hmong which shows the culture of people living on the Dong Van plateau.
The product to export: With unique material and colorful patterns, Lung Tam Village’s products are not only sold nationwide but also exported to more than 20 countries including the US, Japan, and Switzerland.

Hanoi – Ha Giang

Day 02

Begin a new day with breakfast in the local restaurant

Day 03

Dong Van – Yen Minh – Ha Giang

Have breakfast at the local restaurant.
Visiting ancient hill-tribe towns, take part in the Xa Phin market, Meo Kingdom Palace
Next, we will visit the ancient town of Pho Cao. Stopover in Sung La which is home to white H’ mong to experience the lifestyle and customs of the ethnic minority.
Continue keeping going a day by visiting Lung Cu Flag Tower, where is the northern pole of Vietnam
Having lunch in Yen Minh and returning to Ha Giang Town
Return to Ha Giang & overnight in Tay house on stilt

Day 04

Ha Giang – Hanoi

In the morning, you’ll return to Hanoi on a route that takes you through Pa The in Quang Binh district
Having lunch on the way back to Hanoi
