  • Upon arrival in Luang Prabang, our Impress Travel representative will greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel for check-in. Renowned as one of the best-preserved traditional towns in Southeast Asia, Luang Prabang enchants visitors with its serene atmosphere, cultural treasures, and scenic beauty. This afternoon, begin your discovery with a visit to the ancient stupa of Wat Visoun, the historic Wat Aham, and the richly decorated Wat Mai. Continue to Mount Phousi to admire its sacred golden stupa and enjoy sweeping views of the city and the Mekong River at sunset. Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Caves – Luang Prabang (B,L)

  • After breakfast, begin the day with a guided visit to Wat Sene, the oldest temple in the city, and the splendid Wat Xieng Thong, renowned for its sweeping, multi-tiered rooflines. Later, embark on a leisurely upstream cruise along the Mekong River, passing tranquil rural scenery. En route, stop at the sacred Pak Ou Caves, a revered pilgrimage site housing thousands of Buddha images across two vast chambers. The journey also includes visits to traditional villages such as Ban Muangkeo, known for rice wine distillation, and Ban Xiengmene and Ban Chan. Vientiane – Pakse – Don Khong Island (B,L)

Don Khong Island – Surroundings (B,L)

Continue by boat through the surrounding waterways, pausing at the picturesque Liphi Waterfalls, also known as “the Devil’s Corridor,” famed for their beauty and power. With luck, you may catch a glimpse of the rare Irrawaddy freshwater dolphins in the Mekong. Later, return to Ban Nakasang and drive onward to the majestic Khone Phapheng Waterfalls, the largest cascade in Southeast Asia and a truly spectacular natural wonder. Overnight on Don Khong Island.

Don Khong Island – Tadlo – Pakse (B,L)
