Key Tips for Joining the Conquer Kim Noi Rice Terrace Mu Cang Chai Photo tours
Ready to Conquer Kim Noi Rice Terrace with Mu Cang Chai Tours? Here are some key tips to help you prepare for an unforgettable experience!
Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit would, of course, be from late September to mid-October, during the time of harvest when the ranges of rice on the terraces glowed in gold. If you want a different feel, then come in May during the water season, when fields reflect in the sky for stunning mirror-like visuals. Each of these moments is perfect for taking stunning snaps!
What to Pack
Pack wisely to enjoy your adventure completely! One needs comfortable trekking shoes to walk through the terrains of the terraced fields and, in general, the uneven grounds. Remember to pack some warm clothes since mornings and late evenings tend to get cool in this mountain region. Don’t forget to capture every beautiful moment at Kim Noi Rice Terrace with your camera equipment. Better be prepared for sudden rain, too.
Fitness Level
Conquering Kim Noi Rice Terrace is an upward moderate trek that most people can do without too much problem. You can expect some uphill and downhill walks along uneven paths. If you are used to doing either walking or light hiking, you will do just fine in handling the journey. The view up there is worth every step!
Weather Considerations
Mu Cang Chai Mountain is quite unpredictable in terms of weather. Mornings and evenings are much cooler, and it tends to rain anytime. The best thing is to wear your clothes in layers to put on or take off whenever the temperature changes. Bring a lightweight raincoat or poncho to keep you dry when sudden rain showers pop up.
Respect Local Culture
Visiting Kim Noi Rice Terrace follows the cultural ethics of the local H’Mong people. Always smile and always ask for permission before taking pictures of people or homes. Be careful in the fields not to step on their crops. Supporting the local markets by shopping for handmade crafts or trying food is a lot of fun, and it will contribute to the community for a much better experience.
