We take off at 6:00 AM, the trip starts from Hanoi. Bidding farewell to the bustle of the city, we head to Ha Giang, a place with picturesque scenery and diverse ethnic culture. The journey takes about 6–7 hours, as we pass through hills, valleys , and idyllic countryside villages.
12:30 PM – Lunch in Tuyen Quang
Just before noon, we reach Tuyen Quang where we stop at a local Vietnamese restaurant for lunch The perfect opportunity to freshen up and have local northern food before continuing the drive up into the highlands.
03:30 PM – Arrival & Check-in at Phoenix Hotel Ha Giang
In mid-afternoon, we arrive at Ha Giang City and check in at Phoenix Hotel Ha Giang (4-star). This cozy lodging features scenic mountain views, ample-sized rooms, and a tranquil location that primed you to relax before the night’s events.
06:30 PM – Dinner at Tay Con Linh Restaurant

So, after a big breakfast at the hotel, we left at 7.30 am and drove 1.5 hours to Thac Thi Waterfall, which lies about 1.5 hours away from Ha Giang City. The drive is one of the most beautiful in the world, passing through ethnic villages, and terraced rice and you will get breathtaking views.
09:00 AM – Start of the Trek
Arrange for pick up from the airport and transfer to Ha Giang Tours Discover Thac Thi Tourist Area for guided trekking around the wild nature. The road leads to Dong Van Old Town, a former trading post packed with traditional H’Mong architecture and a brimming ethnic market. During a visit, they can meet local artisans and wander centuries-old streets.

After lunch, we drove through Chin Khoanh Pass (Nine Turns Pass), a scenic winding road that ended up being pretty impressive. Today, the highlight of the day is visiting the famous “King of Passes” Ma Pi Leng Pass, with great views of the deep Nho Que River Canyon.
06:00 PM – Overnight Stay in Meo Vac
Arrive in Meo Vac and check in hotel Hoa Cuong Meo Vac (4-star). The hotel is comfortable; and the ideal haven for winding down after a long day of sightseeing.
