History and Background of Banh Xeo Ba Duong
Banh Xeo Ba Duong in Danang
Banh Xeo Ba Duong in Danang is a story of over 30 years. A small stall in the beginning, the place nearly became an invaluable name to the culinary life in this city. The humble beginning has been the root of the culinary landmark, as it has adhered to the cooking method and the selection of ingredients though time. The story of Banh Xeo Ba Duong speaks of the importance and value of keeping culinary heritage in the context of the modern food scene in Danang.
The Unique Recipe and Ingredients
The magic behind the famous Banh Xeo Ba Duong is the unique recipe and fresh ingredients. The batter is made of Quang Nam rice, which must be soaked for many hours and then ground into a very fine liquid. Finally, it is mixed with turmeric to give a golden-yellow color. The blushed batter is then cooked twice on a hot pan, which ensures the cake develops a crispy shell yet remains soft and fragrant inside.
The fillings are equally unique and include seasoned beef, fresh shrimp, and bean sprouts. Every single ingredient is chosen with utmost care to provide the highest quality to complement the unique flavors of each bite. The use of traditional charcoal stoves, therefore, adds another touch of authenticity as they emit a very subtle smoky aroma, something the gas stoves cannot do.
The Signature Sauce
No article about Banh xeo Ba Duong in Danang can do complete justice if it does not talk about the accompanying dipping sauce. The sauce is made up of a perfect mix of liver, peanuts, and sesame and sets Banh Xeo Ba Duong apart from all other Banh Xeo that you may have had in the past. The sauce is dense and richly filled with different flavors that complement the strong savory flavors of the pancake. And it is this combination that will keep your guests going back for more, declaring it as one of the high points of their visit.
