Overview:
The Vietnam – Soviet Friendship Culture Palace located at 91 Tran Hung Dao Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi, Vietnam is an architectural and cultural work for art performances and scientific conferences. , exhibition.
The building was started on January 1, 1978, on the old foundation of the Hanoi Arena (destroyed by bombs in the 2nd World War), and on September 1, 1985, it was completed.
Architecture:
The work was designed by Soviet architect G. G. Isakovich. The cultural palace is located on an area of 3.2 hectares, consisting of three main blocks: performance house, academic house, technical house … with a total of 120 rooms. Of these, the performance house is the largest building, 4 stories high, 33 meters high, 96 meters long, and 60 meters wide. Behind is the 3-story learning house, with both the library and the rooms of regular themed clubs.
