In the morning, you will have breakfast at hotel, then boarding a traditional boat for a relaxing cruise along the Mekong River. From here, you can observe forested hills, riverside communities and scenes of daily life as you travel toward the Pak Ou Caves.
Especially, these sacred caves are located where the Mekong and Nam Ou rivers meet. So, they contain thousands of Buddha images placed there by pilgrims over many generations. On the return journey, a stop may be made at a traditional village known for weaving, handicrafts or local rice-based products.
Next, you will be back in Luang Prabang, then exploring the historic center and visiting Wat Xieng Thong. This is one of the finest examples of classical Lao temple architecture. You will continue to visit the former Royal Palace, now the National Museum, subject to its opening schedule.
End the day, you will travel at Mount Phousi. Where those comfortable with the climb can enjoy panoramic views over the old town, surrounding mountains and Mekong River.
