9:00 AM – Arrival at Bang Lang Stork Sanctuary:
We arrive at the sanctuary, a refuge for more than 20 species of storks and untold other birds. No sooner than an intro we board a small boat that glides us into the heart of the wetlands. As the boat eases along, you’ll pick up on the tranquility of the environment, with the calls of avian creatures around you.
10:00 AM – Climbing the Observation Tower:
We climb the 8-metre tower that overlooks the sanctuary. From this vantage point, thousands of birds flit about in their natural habitat, perched, nesting, and soaring above the treetops. 10:30 AM – A Stroll through the Sanctuary:

With it, we feast on la ca linh bong dien dien (hotpot with edible blossoms) and crispy banh xeo (Vietnamese pancakes), each dish an authentic taste of the Delta’s gastronomic heritage.
1:00 PM – Drive to Vinh Long:
After lunch, we drove around an hour to the traditional craft villages of Vinh Long. This is the perfect time to sit back and soak in the changing scenery of rural Vietnam.
