Overview:

+ In 1951, the first pagoda was built by Nguyen Viet Tao. However, the temple architecture at that time was quite simple, traditional and located in a small campus.
+ By 1961 – 1999, Pho Quang pagoda was seriously degraded.
+ And it was not until 1999, under the management of the Ho Chi Minh Buddhist Administration, that the temple was completely restored and expanded to have the spaciousness and purity of today.
Architecture:
After many restorations, the temple was built in a modern direction. However, the inside of the pagoda still retains its ancient and dignified features when it is designed with massive pillars, decorated with delicate carvings of the Ly Dynasty.
The roof of the pagoda is curved in the shape of a dragon and phoenix like traditional Vietnamese temples. Overview of the main hall with 3 floors and 12 roofs, behind is a small tower with 2 floors. Especially, the temple grounds are large, planted with many trees, helping to bring a fresh and peaceful scene to people who come to visit the temple.
