Overview:

Dubbed the “roof of Vietnam", Vietnam’s Hoang Lien Son mountain range is a destination with a charm that makes it hard for visitors to resist with its spectacular natural scenery.

Location:

Hoang Lien Son mountain range is one of the most wonderful destinations in the Northwest region in particular and Vietnam in general. The Hoang Lien Son mountain range is 180 km long to the northwest of our country, passing through the provinces of Lao Cai, Lai Chau and Yen Bai.

At the foot of Hoang Lien Son are beautiful, unique, picturesque valleys, inhabited by ethnic minorities such as Dao, Tay and H’Mong.

One of the extremely attractive places for tourists to visit is the beautiful town of Sapa, which is always crowded with tourists from all over the world. In recent years, Sapa has become a great tourist destination for domestic and foreign tourists.

Recognition:

In November 2019, National Geographic magazine (based in the US) listed Hoang Lien Son mountain range as one of the best tourist destinations for 2019.

This place offers visitors extremely breathtaking scenery from the “roof of Indochina" to trekking trips through the forest, through the rugged, dangerous rocky roads and new perspectives on the diverse culture. forms of ethnic minorities.

Fansipan Peak:

Fansipan is always a very attractive challenge for Vietnamese backpackers because it is the “roof of the country". Climbers often need to be accompanied by a few locals who can guide them on how to get to the top and go in large groups to ensure everyone’s safety.

But now, the way to Fansipan is no longer a worry for many tourists, now it has been completely overcome thanks to the cable car system to the top of the mountain. The cable car station is located in Muong Hoa valley, this cable car system operates from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily. A round-trip ticket costs VND 700,000 (equivalent to $30.02) for adults and VND 500,000 (equivalent to $21.44) for children.

A 15-minute ride by cable car will take visitors through the beautiful valleys of Sapa and the vast green forests. When the cable car reaches the top of the mountain 3,143 meters high, white clouds will hug the cable car, but passengers can enjoy the panoramic view of the beauty at the foot of Fansipan peak, but this action is not suitable for passengers who are afraid height.

Through the glass wall of the cable car, visitors will surely feel amazed by the majestic white waterfalls and the “golden" terraced fields if it is in the harvest season.

Fansipan Peak Conquer:

Reaching the top of Fansipan is not the only goal of the journey to conquer the “roof of Indochina". The “City in the Clouds” on the way to the top of Fansipan will give you a religious experience that you really don’t want to miss.

The religious complex on the top of the highest mountain in Vietnam stands tall among the majestic mountains, hidden in a curtain of white clouds and bells ringing in all directions.

Visitors can see with their own eyes the tallest bronze-cast Buddha statue in Vietnam, up to 21.5 meters, made from thousands of pieces of copper 5 mm thick. This is one of the most sophisticated and beautiful Buddhist works in Vietnam.

Hiking:

Visitors can also choose to explore nature by hiking through Hoang Lien National Park. This is a large conservation area up to 29.8 hectares, located in the majestic Hoang Lien Son mountain range. The core zone of the Park stretches across Sa Pa and Than Uyen districts of Lao Cai province.

Hoang Lien National Park is located at an altitude of 1,000 to 3,000 meters, where there are primeval forests with extremely diverse and rich flora and fauna. This is where the most beautiful waterfalls and mountains such as Golden Waterfall, Love Waterfall and Fansipan peak are located.

O Quy Ho Pass:

O Quy Ho Pass is another wonderful destination located in Hoang Lien National Park. O Quy Ho Pass connects the two provinces of Lao Cai and Lai Chau and is one of the most majestic passes in the North of Vietnam. O Quy Ho Pass is on the list of “four great peaks" of Vietnam, where it offers visitors a wonderful panoramic view

Sa Pa to experience the culture.

You can also try to experience the feeling of riding a motorbike through the villages of Sa Pa to experience the culture.

Cat Cat village is located about two kilometers from Sa Pa town, where the H’Mong people live. Visitors can experience the culture of the H’Mong people by walking around, watching their daily agricultural activities, wearing traditional clothes, watching them weave cloth and even making their own. experience those wonderful activities.
