Hanoi – Sapa Muslim & Halal Culinary Tour: 3 Days

Our guide and driver will collect you from your hotel in Hanoi in the early morning. Depart for Sapa via the Noi Bai–Lao Cai Expressway, enjoying views that gradually change from the Red River Delta to the dramatic mountains of northwestern Vietnam.

Firstly, comfort stops will be provided during the journey. Prayer time will be accommodated at a suitable clean location according to the group’s requirements and the day’s travel schedule.

Next, you will arrive in Sapa around midday and enjoy your first halal lunch at a pre-arranged restaurant. The menu may feature Vietnamese-inspired dishes prepared with halal ingredients or selected Asian and international specialities. Afterwards, you will check in at your hotel and take a short rest.

In the afternoon, you will begin a guided walk to Cat Cat Village, a traditional settlement of the Black H’mong people. Following a scenic path past local houses, terraced fields, handicraft stalls, and mountain gardens. Here, you can learn how local artisans produce indigo-dyed textiles, weave brocade, and preserve traditional customs.

Then, you will continue to visit Cat Cat Waterfall and see the historic hydroelectric station constructed during the French colonial period. Depending on the group’s fitness and weather conditions, return to Sapa on foot or by arranged vehicle.

Finishing the day, a prayer break will be facilitated before dinner. Enjoying a halal dinner and spending the remainder of the evening exploring Sapa Town. Its central square, night market, and atmospheric streets at leisure.

Overnight in Sapa.

You will begin the morning with breakfast at the hotel. Muslim-friendly breakfast arrangements will be requested in advance, with halal or suitable vegetarian and seafood options provided according to confirmed availability.

Then, you will meet our guide and transfer to the Fansipan cable-car station. Boarding the cable car for a spectacular journey above Muong Hoa Valley and the forests of Hoang Lien National Park. On clear days, the route offers sweeping views across the Hoang Lien Son Range.

From the upper station, you may explore the spiritual complex and continue towards the 3,143-metre Fansipan summit by climbing the stone steps. A funicular ticket may be purchased locally by travellers who prefer to reduce the amount of walking. Accessing to the summit remains subject to weather, maintenance schedules, and individual fitness.

Next, you will return to Sapa for a halal lunch. A suitable prayer space will be arranged at the restaurant, hotel, or another clean private area whenever available.

In the afternoon, you will enjoy a relaxed exploration of Sapa Town. Visiting the central square, see the exterior of the iconic Stone Church, browse the local market. Or shopping for embroidered textiles, herbal products, and other handmade goods produced by surrounding ethnic communities.

The remainder of the afternoon is free for personal discovery. You may enjoy a café overlooking the mountains, book a traditional herbal foot bath, or simply relax at the hotel.

Concluding the day with another halal dinner arranged especially for the group.

Overnight in Sapa.

After enjoying breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and leave your luggage with the driver. Then, you will travel to the trekking point overlooking the beautiful Muong Hoa Valley.

Next, you will begin a moderate guided walk through rice terraces and mountain scenery towards Lao Chai Village, home to the Black H’mong community. Depending on the season, the valley may appear emerald green, golden with ripening rice. Or atmospheric beneath Sapa’s characteristic mountain mist.

Then, you will continue traveling towards Ta Van Village, where many Giay families live. Along the way, you can observe traditional houses, vegetable gardens, rice fields, and everyday agricultural activities. Moreover, our guide will explain the different customs, clothing, languages, and livelihoods of the ethnic groups inhabiting the valley.

In the noon, you will enjoy a pre-arranged halal lunch or halal packed meal. Depending on the operational conditions and confirmed restaurant availability. Time for prayer will be provided in an appropriate clean and private space.

After lunch, you will meet our driver and begin the return journey to Hanoi. Comfort stops will be made along the expressway.
