So, people coming here for the actual beauty of Sapa will find it an ideal spot, far from the madding crowds, to enjoy its serenity.

Authentic and Untouched Experience

The best thing about Sin Chai Village on the Sapa Tours is, it doesn’t have over-commercialization. While other areas of Sapa are filled with tourists, Sin Chai has stayed quiet. No line of tourist shops, no overcrowded streets, just the silent strong village life. This is your chance to get a hold of how Sapa used to be several decades ago before the modern development kick-started taking shape.

Cultural Immersion in the Black Hmong Way of Life

But what makes Sin Chai Village on the Sapa tours are the people and culture of the Black Hmong. The Black Hmong is one of the oldest ethnic groups in this region. Here, you will get a rare opportunity to be a part of their traditional way of life. History and customs passed down for generations create a rich culture of Black Hmong in Sin Chai.

Daily Life of the Locals

You get to see them on your walk through the village due to their beautiful, simple houses of wood, their fields that they terrace and farm by hand, and the bright textiles they weave. It’s almost as though you walk into another world. And the locals are so hospitable. You often get greeted with smiles, and if you can be so lucky, sometimes you get offered a cup of tea traditionally, or view them working on their intricate handicrafts.

Day 1: Exploring Villages on the Way to Sin Chai

09:00 AM – We’ll embark on our venture by requesting the guide who waits at your hotel or a meeting place in the central part of Sapa Town. After a brief explanation, we will be able to go to visit one of the prettiest villages in Sapa.

09:30 AM – Our day’s trek starts with an attractive walk for 8 km that leads through the famous Muong Hoa Valley within which some of the most beautiful mountain scenery can be found.

10:30 AM – You will start to head to Y Linh Ho Village – the home of the Black Hmong. Here, the village life is simple, with valleys mainly used as fields, and wooden houses carrying simplicity and beauty.

Y Linh Ho Village

11:30 AM – Keep on going from Y Linh Ho and begin hiking up to Lao Chai Village. The village is as beautiful as other villages in the region with rice fields pouring down on the mountainsides. This creates one of the most breathtaking vistas in the region. We will stop by and communicate with locals to learn about their farming methods and traditional habits.

12:30 PM – In the meantime, we would reach Ta Van Village. The Giay ethnic group inhabits this village. Lunch will be served here in one of the local family houses so that you get to taste real Sapa cuisine cooked with fresh and local ingredients.

01:30 PM – Afternoon, we keep trekking through the more majestic scenery and head towards the Tavan bus station. The route carries you through some of the most spectacular places in the region, with endless panoramic views of rice fields, mountains, and valleys.

04:00 PM – Arrive at Tavan bus station, and catch the bus for a short journey back to Sapa town. Free time for relaxing and viewing on the way back.

05:00 PM – After a full day of trekking, check into a nice hotel in Sapa. Now it is relaxation time, so take a shower and freshen up; if you wish, stroll yourself around Sapa town. Try all the local delicacies and enjoy the night atmosphere of this charming mountain town.

The sound of waterfalls greets you on approaching the area, along with other natives driving their lives in their day-to-day activities. Cat Cat is indeed more toured, but the village still retains much of its allure and charm as it provides insight into Black Hmong culture and the rare three-tiered waterfall.

11:00 AM – Visit the village and waterfall, witnessing in person traditional crafts such as weaving and blacksmithing, getting a good feel for the unique traditions of the Black Hmong.

12:30 PM – A stop to have a picnic lunch in relaxed surroundings by the bank of the river. The meal will be light and local to create much-needed rest in this tranquil area.

While the villages surrounding are favored by mass tourism, Sin Chai Village remains unvisited and intact in all its pristine beauty, granting a fantastic opportunity to see life as it has been living generations ago. You’ll meet the Black H’mong people inhabiting this village, go through their traditional houses, and witness their farming/weaving practices upfront.

03:00 PM – The stunning scenery of Fansipan – the “Roof of Indochina" – forms an unforgettable dramatic backdrop to the village. More time to explore the village, join the locals, and learn increasingly about the rich culture and lifestyle of locals. This is an authentic cultural immersion for a deep understanding of life in the mountains.

04:00 PM – Spend a whole afternoon in the Sin Chai Village then back to Sapa. The return is even more spectacular: the sunset begins to fall on the mountains and rice fields, with its golden glamorous looking over all the sceneries.

05:30 PM – We’ll reach Sapa town in the early evening, which would mark the end of our journey because the memory of this authentic experience of exploring the virgin beauty of Sin Chai Village on Sapa Tours shall be carried along by you.
