  • Upon arrival in Yangon, you will be warmly welcomed by our local tour guide and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Enjoy some time at leisure to relax after your journey.
  • Later, begin a private city tour through downtown Yangon, discovering its fascinating blend of colonial architecture and local life. Pass by the historic Yangon General Post Office, the elegant Strand Hotel, Mahabandoola Garden, and the Independence Monument, reflecting Myanmar’s rich history.
  • Continue to Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda, home to an impressive 70-meter-long reclining Buddha, where intricately carved symbols on the soles attract many local worshippers.
  • Stop for photos at the iconic Karaweik Hall before heading to the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda. Observe pilgrims and monks offering prayers as you enjoy a breathtaking sunset over the glittering golden stupa—an unforgettable introduction to Myanmar.

Day 2: Yangon – Fly to Bagan | Exploring the World Heritage Site (B)

Take a morning flight to Bagan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famed for its vast plain of ancient temples. Begin with a visit to a lively local market to experience the rhythms of daily life and the vibrant trading atmosphere of Bagan.

Spend the day discovering architectural masterpieces as you explore a carefully selected collection of the region’s most significant pagodas and temples, learning about their history, symbolism, and unique designs. In the afternoon, visit a traditional lacquerware workshop to observe the meticulous craftsmanship behind one of Myanmar’s most celebrated handicrafts.

Continue to the magnificent Ananda Temple, renowned for its harmonious proportions and serene Buddha images. Conclude the day at an elevated viewpoint, enjoying an unforgettable sunset as golden light washes over the temple-studded plains—an iconic and truly magical Bagan experience.

Day 3: Bagan & Villages – Mystique and Charm in Ancient Bagan (B)

  • More than just a land of temples, today’s journey offers a deeper understanding of Bagan through its history, culture, and everyday life. Venture beyond the temple plains to visit traditional villages near Bagan, where you will observe the authentic lifestyle of local communities and gain insight into rural Myanmar traditions.
  • Continue sightseeing around Bagan and its surrounding countryside, discovering lesser-known pagodas and scenic landscapes that add to the region’s timeless charm. In the late afternoon, transfer to the river jetty to board a private wooden boat for a relaxing cruise along the Irrawaddy River.
  • Whether seated under the shade or on the open deck, enjoy panoramic views as the boat gently cruises toward Shwezigon Pagoda. As the sun begins to set, relax and soak in the tranquil scenery while witnessing a spectacular sunset over the river—an unforgettable highlight of your Bagan experience.

Day 4: Bagan – Drive to Mandalay by Private Car (B)

  • After breakfast, depart Bagan by private vehicle for a scenic drive to Mandalay (approximately 4 hours). En route, stop at local villages to observe everyday life in rural Myanmar and enjoy brief sightseeing along the way.
  • Upon arrival in Mandalay, begin a private guided tour of this legendary city—once the last royal capital of Burma and today one of Myanmar’s largest cities. Discover Mandalay’s role as a cultural and spiritual center, where royal heritage, traditional crafts, and living Buddhist practices continue to shape the city’s identity.

Day 5: Mandalay – Amarapura | Myanmar’s Enchanting Old Capitals (B)

  • This morning, explore traditional artisan workshops in Mandalay, including gold-leaf making, tapestry weaving, woodcarving, and marble carving. Many of these age-old techniques remain unchanged from those once used to craft ceremonial items for the Royal Court, offering a fascinating glimpse into Myanmar’s living heritage.
  • In the afternoon, visit the elegant Shwenandaw Monastery, the Golden Palace Monastery and the only remaining structure from the 19th-century Royal Palace. Admire its exquisite teak woodcarvings, considered among the finest in the country.
  • Continue to Kuthodaw Pagoda, famously known as “the world’s biggest book,” where Buddhist scriptures are inscribed on 729 marble slabs. Before sunset, travel to Amarapura to witness the iconic U Bein Bridge, the world’s longest teak bridge. As the sun dips below the horizon, enjoy one of Myanmar’s most photogenic and unforgettable sights.

Day 6: Mandalay – Fly to Yangon (B)

  • Take a morning flight from Mandalay back to Yangon. Upon arrival, begin exploring the city’s vibrant cultural tapestry with a visit to Bogyoke Aung San Market (Scott Market), a lively 90-year-old bazaar (closed on Mondays and public holidays). Browse an array of Burmese souvenirs—from lacquerware to gems and jewelry—and enjoy bargaining to fully experience local market life.
  • Continue with a city drive showcasing Yangon’s multicultural influences, stopping at notable religious landmarks including St Mary’s Cathedral, built in 1899, the iconic Sule Pagoda, and the historic Rangoon Synagogue, where you may meet the trustee to learn about Jewish life in the “Pagoda Land.”
  • Conclude the day in Little India and Chinatown, greeting friendly vendors and discovering a mix of familiar and exotic wares.
