2. Location:
Yen Tu mountain, also known as Tuong Dau mountain, is a mountain located between the border of Bac Giang and Quang Ninh provinces. This mountain belongs to the Dong Trieu mountain range in the Northeast of our country with a height of 1068m above sea level. It is also home to a diverse range of flora and fauna.
Yen Tu tourist area is a place to keep historical and cultural relics associated with the formation and development of Truc Lam Yen Tu Zen sect. Along with the beautiful mountain scenery, cool climate, fresh nature, this place becomes a spiritual tourist destination attracting tourists from far and near.
3. When to go?
- Quang Ninh has a typical weather pattern of the Northern region with 4 distinct seasons a year. Traveling to Yen Tu Quang Ninh is best in the spring, from January to March of the lunar calendar. At this time, the weather is cool and pleasant. This is also the time when many festivals take place that attract a large number of people from all over the world to visit and worship Buddha.

- + If you want to fully enjoy the festival atmosphere, you can visit Yen Tu Pagoda after the opening day of the festival on October 1 (lunar calendar). However, this time, tourists flock here very crowded, so if you do not like to be crowded, or go with the elderly or children, you should consider.
- + From March onwards, the number of people going to the festival gradually decreases, the weather is relatively cool, the festival is less, but still very suitable for those who like to go to the festival but are afraid of too many people.
4. How to get there?
+ Traveling by personal vehicle (car, motorbike)
The route from Hanoi to Yen Tu tourist area in Quang Ninh is about 140km. Starting from the center of Hanoi you can go the following way:
Take the way of Chuong Duong bridge through Nguyen Van Cu, follow the direction of National Highway 18 to reach Bac Ninh. From here, you go straight, meet Trinh Pagoda, turn left, go about 10km to Yen Tu.
+ Moving to Yen Tu mountain tourist area by bus:
From Hanoi, you take the bus to Cam Pha, Uong Bi, Ha Long to go to Yen Tu spiritual tourist area. When the car reaches the section of Trinh pagoda located on Highway 18, you get off. From here, you take a bus to Yen Tu.
Bus price is 10,000 VND / person / time.
