Next, you will begin the day with a leisurely bicycle ride along narrow village paths. Passing coconut groves, fruit gardens, small canals, traditional houses, and family farms. The route can be adjusted to suit the group’s fitness level, allowing everyone to enjoy the surroundings comfortably.
Then, you will stop to meet local residents and learn about daily life in the Mekong Delta. Depending on the season and farming schedule, you may help collect fruit, vegetables, herbs, or other ingredients from the garden. Your host will introduce some of the plants commonly used in Southern Vietnamese cooking and traditional household remedies.
Returning to the farmstay for a hands-on cooking experience. Here, you can learn how to prepare selected regional dishes using fresh ingredients gathered from the garden. After the class, you will enjoy the meal you have helped create.
The afternoon is intentionally unhurried. You may relax in a hammock, walk through the orchards, try fishing in a small pond, or continue exploring the village. Optional activities will depend on the facilities and seasonal conditions at the selected farmstay.
As evening approaches, you will enjoy the tranquillity of rural Ben Tre. In suitable weather and local conditions, an optional sunset or firefly boat ride may be arranged.
You will enjoy dinner and a second peaceful night at the farmstay.
