Day 1: Arrival in Yangon – Colonial Quarter and Shwedagon Pagoda
Upon arrival at Yangon International Airport, you will meet our private guide and transfer by air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel. After checking-in and time to refresh, you will begin exploring Yangon, formerly known as Rangoon and still one of Southeast Asia’s most atmospheric cities.
Then, you will take a guided drive and walking tour through the historic center.Where faded colonial buildings stand beside lively markets, traditional tea shops and places of worship. You also see prominent landmarks such as the former High Court, City Hall, Mahabandoola Garden, the Independence Monument and the legendary Strand Hotel.
Next, you will continue to visit Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda, home to an impressive reclining Buddha image measuring approximately 66 meters in length. Its elaborately decorated feet display traditional symbols associated with the life and teachings of the Buddha.
Concluding the day at Shwedagon Pagoda. As daylight fades, observe worshippers lighting candles, offering flowers and walking around the enormous gilded stupa. The changing colors of the evening sky and the golden reflections create a memorable introduction to Myanmar’s spiritual life.

Day 2: Yangon – Fly to Bagan – Temples and Traditional Lacquerware
After having breakfast, you will transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Bagan. Upon arrival, you will meet our local guide and begin discovering one of Asia’s most extraordinary archaeological landscapes.
Next, you will visit Shwezigon Pagoda, an important prototype for later Burmese stupas, before continuing to the mural-filled Wetkyi-In Gubyaukgyi Temple and Htilominlo Temple, celebrated for its detailed plasterwork and glazed sandstone decoration.
Besides, you will stop at a traditional lacquerware workshop to observe the patient, highly skilled process. Where used to produce bowls, trays and decorative objects. Depending on the complexity of the design, a single item may require numerous layers of lacquer, engraving and hand-painted decoration.
In the afternoon, you will visit Ananda Temple, one of Bagan’s finest surviving architectural masterpieces. Continuing past Thatbyinnyu Temple, Dhammayangyi Temple and other significant monuments, you represent different periods of Bagan’s artistic development.
Finishing at an authorized viewing location overlooking the temple plains as the late-afternoon light settles across the ancient landscape.

Day 3: Bagan – Mount Popa and Village Life
Following your breakfast at the hotel, you will depart for Mount Popa, an extinct volcano rising dramatically above Myanmar’s central plains. Along the way, you will stop in a rural village to learn how local families use toddy palms to produce palm sugar, juice and other traditional products.
At Mount Popa, you have a chance to learn about Myanmar’s Nat tradition—a form of spirit worship that has long existed alongside Buddhism. Travelers who wish to climb to the monastery at Taung Kalat can ascend the approximately 777 covered steps. Comfortable footwear is recommended, and you should take care around the resident monkeys.
After returning to Bagan, you will continue to have the cultural experience with a visit to a local village. Here, you can meet residents and observe aspects of rural life, cottage industries and traditional agricultural practices.
The late afternoon is free for relaxation or an optional activity such as a private sunset boat trip on the Ayeyarwady River.

Day 4: Bagan – Mandalay Royal Heritage Tour
After enjoying breakfast, you will transfer to the airport for your flight to Mandalay or travel overland by private vehicle. Subject to the confirmed operating schedule.
Upon arrival, you will begin your exploration of Myanmar’s last royal capital at Mahamuni Pagoda, which houses one of the country’s most revered Buddha images. Over generations, male devotees have applied layers of gold leaf to the statue as an expression of faith.
Next, you will continue to visit local workshops specializing in gold-leaf production, woodcarving, marble carving or traditional embroidered tapestries. These workshops preserve techniques closely connected to Mandalay’s royal and religious heritage.
In the afternoon, you will visit Shwenandaw Monastery, an exquisite teak building known for its finely carved wooden panels. Then, you will proceed to Kuthodaw Pagoda, where 729 marble slabs inscribed with Buddhist scriptures have earned the complex its nickname, “the world’s largest book.”
End the day with panoramic views from Mandalay Hill or another appropriate sunset location.

Day 5: Mandalay – Sagaing, Ava and Amarapura
You will enjoy breakfast before departing on a full-day private excursion to three former royal capitals surrounding Mandalay.
Firstly, you will begin traveling to Sagaing, a major Buddhist center whose hills are dotted with pagodas, monasteries and meditation centers. You also visit a selected monastery or hilltop pagoda and enjoy views across the Ayeyarwady River and the surrounding countryside.
Next, you will continue to visit Ava, also called Inwa, which served as a royal capital for several Burmese kingdoms. Crossing the river by local ferry and explore the peaceful archaeological area by horse cart or local transport. Notable sites may include Bagaya Monastery, Maha Aungmye Bonzan Monastery and the remains of the old palace complex.
Later, you will travel to Amarapura and visit a traditional silk-weaving workshop. Concluding the excursion at U Bein Bridge, the historic teakwood crossing that stretches across Taungthaman Lake. You will walk along part of the bridge and watch daily life unfold around the surrounding farms and fishing communities.
Returning to Mandalay in the evening.

Day 6: Mandalay – Fly to Heho – Pindaya – Inle Lake
After having breakfast, you will transfer to Mandalay Airport for your flight to Heho in Shan State. Here, you will meet our local guide upon arrival and enjoy a scenic drive through rolling farmland, traditional Pa-O and Danu villages and mountain landscapes.
Next, you will arrive in Pindaya and visit the celebrated Pindaya Caves. This is an extensive limestone cave system containing thousands of Buddha images donated by pilgrims over many generations. The collection includes statues in different sizes, materials and artistic styles, creating a remarkable record of regional Buddhist devotion.
Then, you will visit a local workshop where artisans make traditional Shan paper and handcrafted umbrellas from bamboo and mulberry bark.
You will continue traveling by private vehicle to Nyaung Shwe, the principal gateway to Inle Lake. Depending on the location of your accommodation, transfer by private boat or vehicle to your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the evening at leisure.

Day 7: Inle Lake Cultural Discovery by Private Boat
After your breakfast at hotel, you will board a private long-tail boat for a full-day exploration of Inle Lake. Cruising past floating gardens, narrow waterways and villages constructed on wooden stilts above the lake.
Here, you have a chance to observe the distinctive leg-rowing technique traditionally practiced by Intha fishermen. And you also learn how local communities cultivate tomatoes, flowers and vegetables on floating strips of vegetation secured by bamboo poles.
Then, you will visit Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the lake’s most important religious sanctuary, before continuing to craft communities specializing in lotus-fiber and silk weaving. Depending on local opening conditions, you will visit a silversmith workshop, wooden boat-building yard or family-run cheroot workshop. Where traditional Burmese cigars are rolled by hand.
Throughout the journey, our guide will introduce the customs, occupations and spiritual traditions of the Intha. As well as other ethnic communities living around the lake.
Returning to your accommodation in the late afternoon.

Day 8: Indein Pagodas – Heho – Fly to Yangon
Following your breakfast, you will travel by private boat through scenic channels to Indein village. If the rotating five-day market is operating nearby, you will stop to experience the lively exchange of vegetables, household products, handicrafts. As well as regional goods among local ethnic communities.
Then, you will walk through the village and follow a covered pathway to the Shwe Indein pagoda complex. Hundreds of weathered and restored stupas rise across the hillside, creating one of the most atmospheric cultural landscapes in the Inle Lake region. From the elevated area, enjoy expansive views over the countryside and toward the lake.
Next, you will return by boat to Nyaung Shwe and transfer to Heho Airport for the flight to Yangon. Upon arrival, meet your driver and continue to the hotel.
The evening is free to relax or explore Yangon’s Chinatown and local restaurants independently.

Day 9: Yangon Cultural Mosaic – Departure
You will have the final breakfast at hotel, then visiting Bogyoke Aung San Market, formerly known as Scott Market. Where hundreds of stalls sell textiles, lacquerware, handicrafts, jewelry and souvenirs. If the market is closed, an alternative local market or cultural attraction will be arranged.
Then, you will continue traveling through Yangon’s multicultural neighborhoods. Seeing Sule Pagoda in the historic center and explore streets. Where Buddhist pagodas, Hindu temples, mosques, churches and heritage buildings reflect the city’s diverse communities. Depending on available time, you will walk through Little India or Chinatown and stop at colorful produce and spice markets.
Our driver will transfer you to Yangon International Airport at the appropriate time for your onward flight, bringing your nine-day private journey through Myanmar to an end.
