In the morning, your private guide and driver will meet you at your hotel in central Ho Chi Minh City. Leave the energetic metropolis behind and travel through the peaceful landscapes of the Mekong Delta, where rice fields, fruit orchards and waterways shape everyday life.

After arriving in My Tho, visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, one of the region’s most distinctive Buddhist landmarks. Built during the 19th century, the pagoda features an impressive combination of Vietnamese, Chinese, Khmer and European architectural elements. Wander through its tranquil gardens and admire its ornate halls and large Buddha statues.

Next, you continue going to the pier and board a private motorboat for a scenic cruise along the Tien River. Along the way, enjoy views of fishing boats, riverside homes and the Four Sacred Islets—Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix and Tortoise.

Stepping ashore to explore a peaceful village and walk through a tropical fruit orchard. Taste fresh seasonal fruits while listening to a live performance of Đờn ca tài tử, the traditional music of Southern Vietnam recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Continuing to Ben Tre, widely known as the “Kingdom of Coconut”. Visit a family-run workshop to see how fresh coconuts are transformed into handmade candy and other local products. Meet the artisans, observe the production process and sample freshly prepared coconut sweets.

You will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant featuring regional Mekong Delta specialties.

In the afternoon, discover the tranquil countryside at a relaxed pace. Depending on your preference, take a short bicycle ride or walk along village paths, passing orchards, small bridges and traditional homes. Guests who prefer to rest may unwind in a hammock and enjoy the gentle river breeze.

Later, continue by private vehicle to Can Tho, the commercial and cultural heart of the Mekong Delta. Check in at your four-star hotel and spend the evening at leisure. You may explore Ninh Kieu Wharf, stroll beside the Hau River or visit the lively Can Tho Night Market independently.

You will wake up early and transfer to the pier for a scenic boat journey to Cai Rang Floating Market, one of the Mekong Delta’s most iconic river experiences. Although the market has evolved over time, it remains a fascinating place to observe the region’s longstanding trading traditions.

Cruising among boats carrying pineapples, watermelons, vegetables and other agricultural produce. Learn how vendors display their products on tall bamboo poles and watch daily life unfold along the river. You may also enjoy a cup of Vietnamese coffee served from a local boat while taking in the lively morning atmosphere.

Then, you continue visiting to a traditional rice noodle workshop, where local families demonstrate how rice flour is transformed into noodles using time-honored techniques. Gain insight into this important regional craft before visiting a local market to discover fresh produce, herbs and ingredients commonly used in Southern Vietnamese cuisine.

Returning to the hotel for a well-earned breakfast, followed by check-out.

Begin the return journey toward Ho Chi Minh City, stopping along the way at a beautifully preserved Southern Vietnamese ancient house. Explore its traditional wooden architecture, antique furnishings and peaceful garden while learning about the customs and lifestyle of earlier generations in the Mekong Delta.

Next, you will join a hands-on bánh xèo cooking experience. With guidance from your local host, prepare the batter and fillings for this famous Vietnamese savory pancake. In here, you will learn how bánh xèo is cooked until crisp and served with fresh herbs, vegetables and dipping sauce.

And you will enjoy the dishes you have prepared as part of a delicious local lunch.
