Day 1: Arrival in Yangon – Colonial Heritage and Shwedagon Pagoda
Upon arrival at Yangon International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your private guide and transferred to your luxury hotel for check-in and relaxation.
Begin your introduction to Myanmar with a privately guided journey through downtown Yangon, where British colonial buildings stand alongside Buddhist pagodas, Indian temples and colorful local markets. Pass notable landmarks such as the historic Post Office, the Strand Hotel, Mahabandoola Garden, City Hall and the Independence Monument.
Continue to Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda to admire its impressive reclining Buddha image, measuring approximately 66 meters in length. Make a photo stop beside Kandawgyi Lake, where the magnificent Karaweik Palace appears to float upon the water.
As evening approaches, visit the revered Shwedagon Pagoda. Covered with gold plates and crowned with precious stones, this sacred monument is especially captivating at sunset, when local pilgrims and monks gather to make offerings and prayers.

Day 2: Yangon – Fly to Bagan – Ancient Temples and Sunset
After breakfast, you transfer to Yangon Airport for your morning flight to Bagan, the spiritual heart of Myanmar and one of Southeast Asia’s most extraordinary archaeological destinations.
Upon arrival, begin exploring the UNESCO-listed Bagan Archaeological Area, where thousands of temples, pagodas and stupas rise from the vast plains. Visit a selection of important monuments, including the elegant Ananda Temple, renowned for its harmonious architecture and four standing Buddha images. Continue to Gubyaukgyi Temple, celebrated for its ancient mural paintings, and Manuha Temple, associated with the captive Mon king of Thaton.
In the afternoon, visit a traditional lacquerware workshop to observe the painstaking process behind one of Myanmar’s most distinctive crafts. Artisans will demonstrate how bamboo and wood are transformed through repeated layers of lacquer, engraving and hand-painted decoration.
Conclude the day at a carefully selected viewpoint, where you can admire the changing colors of the sky above Bagan’s ancient monuments.

Day 3: Bagan – Mount Popa – Salay – Bagan
Following breakfast at the hotel, travel through the rural landscapes surrounding Bagan toward Mount Popa, an extinct volcano rising dramatically above the central plains.
Stop along the way to observe scenes of countryside life and learn about the production of palm sugar and other traditional products. On arrival, admire Taung Kalat, a volcanic outcrop crowned by a monastery and regarded as Myanmar’s most important center of Nat spirit worship. Guests who wish to reach the summit may climb the 777 steps, while those preferring a more leisurely visit can enjoy panoramic views from the surrounding area.
Then, you continue traveling to Salay, a peaceful riverside town rich in religious and colonial heritage. Visit Yoke Sone Kyaung, an exquisite wooden monastery known for its intricate carvings depicting scenes from Buddhist teachings, court life and the Ramayana. Explore several of the town’s historic monasteries and observe the quiet rhythms of local life.
Return to Bagan in the late afternoon and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 4: Bagan Villages – Ayeyarwady River Cruise
You will have breakfast at hotel, then visiting a lively local market, where vendors display seasonal vegetables, fruits, spices, household goods and regional specialties. You continue going into the countryside to discover a traditional village and gain an authentic insight into the daily lives of local families.
Later, transfer to the jetty and embark on your elegant Ayeyarwady River cruise to Mandalay. After settling into your comfortable cabin, enjoy a welcome drink as the vessel begins its journey upstream.
Next, you spend the afternoon relaxing on the sundeck and watching scenes of riverside life unfold. Depending on the cruise schedule and water conditions, make a shore excursion to a typical river village, where you can meet local residents and learn about their traditional livelihoods.

Walk through the village lanes and observe skilled artisans shaping clay using techniques passed down through generations. Learn about the firing process and see how the finished pots are prepared for transportation to markets across the region.
Back on board, spend the afternoon enjoying the ship’s facilities, relaxing on the observation deck or simply watching fishing boats, golden pagodas and rural settlements pass by.

Day 6: Arrive in Mandalay – Amarapura, Sagaing and Inwa
After enjoying breakfast on board, you will arrive in Mandalay and meet your private guide for a full-day exploration of three former royal capitals.
Begin in Amarapura with a visit to Mahagandayon Monastery, one of Myanmar’s most prominent monastic education centers. Continue to Sagaing, the spiritual heart of the region, where hundreds of white and gold pagodas crown the hills overlooking the Ayeyarwady River. Visit selected monasteries and enjoy magnificent views across the surrounding plains.
Then, proceeding to Inwa, also known as Ava, which served as a royal capital for several centuries. Cross the river by local ferry before taking a traditional horse-cart ride through the tranquil countryside. Visiting Maha Aungmye Bonzan Monastery, the leaning Nanmyin Watchtower and the atmospheric ruins of Yadana Hsemee Pagoda.
Next, you return to Amarapura in the late afternoon to enjoy sunset at U Bein Bridge. Constructed from reclaimed teak columns, this historic bridge stretches gracefully across Taungthaman Lake and is one of Myanmar’s most memorable sights.

Day 7: Mandalay Heritage and Traditional Arts
You will have breakfast at hotel, then discovering the cultural and spiritual treasures of Mandalay, the final royal capital of Myanmar.
First, you will visit Mahamuni Pagoda, home to one of the country’s most revered Buddha images. Observe local devotees applying thin sheets of gold leaf to the sacred figure as an expression of faith. Continue to artisan workshops specializing in gold-leaf production, woodcarving, marble carving and traditional tapestries. Many of the methods used today have remained unchanged since the time of the royal court.
Next, exploring Shwenandaw Monastery, an exceptional teak building decorated with elaborate carvings. Once part of the royal palace complex, it is the only major original palace structure to survive.
Nearby, visit Kuthodaw Pagoda, often described as the “world’s largest book” because its complete Buddhist scriptures are engraved on 729 marble slabs. Later, explore the reconstructed Mandalay Palace complex or visit Kyauktawgyi Pagoda, known for its enormous marble Buddha image.
End the day on Mandalay Hill, enjoying sweeping views over the city, the Ayeyarwady River and the distant Shan Hills.

Day 8: Mandalay – Fly to Heho – Kalaw Hill Station
After having breakfast, you will be transfered to Mandalay Airport for your flight to Heho. Upon arrival, continue by private vehicle through scenic highland landscapes to Kalaw, a former British hill station known for its cool climate, pine forests and colonial character.
Next, you explore the charming town center and its colorful local market before visiting Aung Chan Tha Zedi, distinguished by its shimmering gold-colored mosaics. Continue to Thein Taung Pagoda, situated on a hill overlooking Kalaw and the surrounding mountain scenery.
Depending on your interests and fitness level, enjoy a gentle guided walk through the nearby countryside. The area is home to several ethnic communities, including the Pa-O, Danu and Palaung peoples. Along the way, discover vegetable farms, tea plantations and traditional rural settlements.

Boarding a private motorboat and begin exploring this remarkable freshwater lake, surrounded by mountains and dotted with villages built on stilts. Observe the famous Intha fishermen, who balance on one leg while wrapping the other around an oar to navigate through the lake’s reeds and floating vegetation.
Then, cruising past floating gardens where vegetables and flowers are cultivated on strips of fertile vegetation anchored to the lakebed. Visit Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the most sacred religious site in southern Shan State, and explore a traditional Intha village.
Next, you continue visiting to local workshops to learn about silk and lotus-fiber weaving, silversmithing or the production of traditional cheroot cigars. These visits provide an intimate look at the skills and customs that have shaped life on Inle Lake for generations.

The market location changes daily among villages around the lake, offering a fascinating glimpse into regional commerce and culture.
Continue through narrow waterways to Indein village on the lake’s western shore. Walk through a covered colonnade to reach the atmospheric Shwe Indein Pagoda complex, where hundreds of ancient stupas rise from the hillside. Some have been restored and gilded, while others remain beautifully weathered and overgrown with vegetation.
Explore the village surroundings and meet local residents before returning to the lake. Along the way, visit stilt-house communities and traditional craft workshops, with time to appreciate the peaceful scenery and distinctive lifestyle of the Intha people.

After having breakfast at hotel, you will leave Inle Lake and transfer by private vehicle to Heho Airport for your return flight to Yangon.

Housed in a historic colonial building, the market offers a wide selection of traditional textiles, lacquerware, handicrafts, paintings, gemstones and souvenirs. Please note that the market is generally closed on Mondays and public holidays; an alternative visit will be arranged when necessary.
Continue through Yangon’s multicultural neighborhoods, passing landmarks such as St. Mary’s Cathedral, Sule Pagoda and the historic synagogue. Walk through the lively streets of Chinatown and Little India, where food stalls, temples and markets reveal the city’s diverse cultural influences.
The remainder of the day is free for personal exploration, spa treatments or relaxation at your luxury hotel.
