Tours Itinerary

Day 1: Yangon Arrival – Sunset at Myanmar’s Most Sacred Pagoda

  • Upon arrival in Yangon, you will be warmly welcomed by our professional tour guide and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Enjoy some time at leisure to relax after your journey.
  • In the late afternoon, stop for photos at the iconic Karaweik Hall, a magnificent royal floating barge set on Kandawgyi Lake. Continue to the legendary Shwedagon Pagoda, Myanmar’s most important and revered religious site. Marvel at its glittering golden stupa as you observe local pilgrims and monks offering their devotions. The day concludes with an unforgettable sunset view over the pagoda, creating a truly spiritual and memorable first impression of Yangon.

Day 2: Yangon – City Sightseeing (B)

  • After breakfast at the hotel, begin a private guided tour to explore Yangon’s vibrant city center, where colonial heritage blends harmoniously with local life. Drive through downtown Yangon, admiring a remarkable collection of historic buildings that reflect British colonial architecture, many of which retain a charming, time-worn elegance rarely seen elsewhere in Asia.
  • Start with a visit to the historic Yangon General Post Office, an impressive landmark from the colonial era. Continue past the iconic Strand Hotel, one of Southeast Asia’s most famous heritage hotels, before strolling through Mahabandoola Garden and viewing the Independence Monument, a symbol of Myanmar’s modern history.
  • Next, visit the renowned Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda, home to a magnificent 70-meter-long reclining Buddha. Take time to observe the intricately carved soles of the Buddha’s feet, decorated with traditional symbols, while witnessing local worshippers offering prayers and devotion.
  • In the afternoon, explore the lively districts of Little India and Chinatown. Walk among colorful street stalls, greet friendly vendors, and discover a fascinating mix of familiar and exotic goods, offering a true taste of Yangon’s multicultural atmosphere.

Day 3: Yangon – Bago Ancient Capital Tour (B)

  • After breakfast at the hotel, depart by private vehicle to Bago, formerly known as Pegu, the ancient capital of the Mon Kingdom in the 15th century and a city rich in legends, history, and spirituality.
  • Begin your exploration at the magnificent Shwemawdaw Pagoda, one of Myanmar’s oldest and tallest pagodas, believed to be over 2,000 years old. Continue to Hinthagon Pagoda, a sacred hilltop site surrounded by 37 Nat shrines, where your local guide will introduce you to the fascinating Nat spirit worship deeply rooted in Myanmar culture.
  • Next, visit the Kanbawzathadi Palace, the former royal palace of King Bayinnaung, one of the greatest kings in Myanmar history during the 16th century. The journey continues with visits to the impressive reclining Buddha images of Shwethalyaung Buddha (55 meters long, dating back to 994 AD) and the recently restored Mya Thar Lyaung Buddha.
  • Conclude the day at Kyaik Pun Pagoda, featuring four monumental seated Buddha statues facing the four cardinal directions. In the late afternoon, drive back to Yangon and transfer to your hotel, ending a day filled with history, legend, and spiritual discovery.

Day 4: Yangon – Departure (B)

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy free time at leisure to relax or explore Yangon at your own pace until the scheduled transfer to the airport for your international departure flight. I booked with Impress Travel in July. My contact person was Tommy Thang. He is an amazing person. He was very helpful. He changed my program twice for me. Very accommodating!
We started our holiday in the north (Sapa)of Vietnam and travelled down to HCMC.
The tour was fantastic, Tommy's arrangements were to the"T".
